Fuck the Russian gas. A cross axis in Italy against Putin’s blackmail

Vladimir Putin’s decision to gradually close the taps bringing gas from Russia to Europe – yesterday Gazprom, which has already stopped supplies to Germany, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria and Finland, informed Eni that on Friday, June 17 , half of the gas would have been delivered gas previously budgeted – forcing European government leaders to wonder which path to take between the two present today given the path of support for Ukraine. The first way coincides with the decision to remain hostage to Putin’s decisions, following the prudent policy of gradually reducing dependence on Russian energy. The second, more ambitious way coincides with a more drastic decision, which would suggest that national political leaders abandon the strategy of progressiveness in favor of that of radicalism. One form of radicalism is the one that will be discussed at the European Council on June 23-24, when European Union leaders will debate not only Ukraine’s candidate status but also the future of price cap policies (Objective: to bring the gas costs from 100 euros per megawatt hour to 80 euros).
