Last week, on June 11, the experienced man took the lead.
Olivier Serva received 7,766 votes (43.44%) while his opponent Dominique Biras received the support of 2,685 voters (15.02%).
The registrants of four wards in this first constituency are among those who voted the fewest in the first ballot. In fact, Grand-Bourg (19%), Morne-à-l’Eau (21%), Capesterre de Marie-Galante (21%) and Saint-Louis (22%) were among the least engaged communities.
In the end, two Abymes qualified.
In addition, mobilization was stronger in Abymes (28%) and Pointe-à-Pitre (26%).
A “stronger” turnout, certainly, in these two cities, higher than the departmental average (25.31%), but which remains very low and lower than that recorded in 2017 (26.91%).
