Maxim Chmerkovsky says he is “safe” after fleeing Ukraine: “I felt wrong when I left”
Dancing with the Stars graduate Maxim Chmerkovsky briefed his fans on his journey from Ukraine as the Russian invasion continued.
Chmerkowski arrived in Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday, according to numerous Instagram posts. The professional dancer went live on his social media account to discuss the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia and the guilt he feels leaving the country.
“I felt wrong to leave,” Cmerkowski said live.
He explained the conditions on the train, saying it was full of people, including women and children. Chmerkowski claims he was unable to get off the train at any stop while heading to Warsaw.
