We round things out with another post from Annapurna Interactive. Developed by indie developer Giant Sparrow (aka The Unfinished Swan), What Remains of Edith Finch is one of the shining examples of video gaming as art.

Winner of multiple gaming awards including the British Academy Games Award for Best Game 2017, it is a first-person adventure game in which the player, as the eponymous Edith Finch, re-explores her childhood home as the last surviving member of her so-called cursed family. On the journey, the player encounters a number of memorials to deceased relatives, where he discovers vignettes of the relative’s death.
