Stéphanie Du Mesnil, a resident of Rimouski, is also a Facilitated Companion in a CHSLD in the region. Among other things, his job enables him to experience the living conditions of older people and the frightening working conditions of the carers at first hand.

“We have to make the job attractive to young people and better supervise the training. It is so rewarding to care for our elders who have been particularly abused since 2020,” the candidate said in Rimouski.

In addition to defending these points in the next election campaign, Ms Du Mesnil will tackle what she considers necessary to reform the health system.

“Only the Conservative Party proposes to review the functioning of the health system, not only so that it becomes more efficient for all users, but also so that its employees finally have a better quality of life,” she defended.

A team now complete

With the candidature of the favored companion, the conservative team is now complete in eastern Quebec.

“Rimouski voters are fortunate to be able to count on a candidate who wears her heart on her sleeve, who cares about the most vulnerable and who puts her life into helping others,” said Conservative Party leader Eric Duhaime.
