Her messy blonde hair was tied in a ponytail and she carried a bag on her left shoulder.

She held a copy of her memoir, which was released on Tuesday, as she stood in the parking lot at the event.

The Long Beach native’s appearance at the event came after she revealed she was “jealous” of her former co-star Ariana Grande when they worked together on the Nickelodeon show Sam & Cat.

The Zoey 101 actress opened up about how the 29-year-old pop star was allowed to miss filming for the Nickelodeon show while she was “angrily holding the fort”.

“Have to turn down movies while Ariana whistles at the Billboard Music Awards? Fuck it,” she wrote, adding, “Ariana misses working to pursue her music career while I play with a box. I’m mad about it. And I’m mad at her. Jealous of her.”

The former actress shared that she had to turn down two features because the team didn’t want to write them out of episodes for her to shoot, but that Ariana received a very different treatment.

McCurdy said the moment she was “broke” was when she found out Ariana had spent an evening “playing charades at Tom Hanks’ house.”

“That was the moment I broke. I couldn’t take it anymore. Music performances and magazine covers… whatever, I’ll get over it. But playing a family game at the home of National Treasure, two-time Oscar winner and six-time nominee Tom Hanks? I’m done.’

“From that moment on, I didn’t like her anymore. I couldn’t like her,’ she added. “Now every time she’s absent from work it feels like a personal attack. Every time something exciting happens to her, I feel like she has robbed me of that experience.”

McCurdy went on to discuss how she frequently compared her career to Ariana’s and felt she was falling short.

“Ariana is at a stage in her career where she’s on every 30 under 30 list in existence. And I’m at a point in my career where my team is thrilled that I’m the new face of Rebecca Bonbon, a tween clothing line with a cat with a tongue out. Exclusively available at Walmart.”

“I often make the mistake of comparing my career to Ariana’s. I can not help myself. I’m in the same environment as her all the time, and she doesn’t exactly try to hide her achievements.”
