Others were more supportive. One Twitter user shared her fears about Behar, given the host’s advanced age, writing, “Girl you know your bones can’t handle these outbursts at your age.”

And another even wondered if Behar’s critics might have made her fall by writing, “Stop hating Joy Behar’s eyes, you’re making her fall on your face!”

The fall came after a series of controversies over the women’s talk show, with Behar causing outrage last week, complaining that the war in Ukraine would disrupt her Italian escape.

The long-running holiday was discussing Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine when she began whining that her summer trip had failed.

Hostin began the conversation last Thursday, outlining some of the facts about the war in Eastern Europe, in which Kyiv was evacuated after Vladimir Putin began his entire invasion of Ukraine.

“It is estimated that 50,000 Ukrainians will be dead or injured and this will start a refugee crisis in Europe. We are talking about 5 million people who will be displaced, “she said. “It’s heartbreaking to hear what’s going to happen.”

Behar then sought to shift the discussion to Western Europe, in particular to her apparent plans to travel to Italy, about 1,500 miles from where Russian forces bombed a neighbor.

“And I’m afraid of what’s going to happen in Western Europe,” she said.

“You are planning a trip, you want to go there, I have wanted to go to Italy for four years and I failed to do so because of the pandemic and now this. Like what will happen there?

Social media quickly pounced on Behar’s apparent disregard for everyone else’s circumstances.

Radiant Liz Wheeler published the video, which reads: “I literally can’t believe Joy Behar said that.”

Ida Tawakoli added in: “You almost have to respect Joy Behar’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that the Boomers are the most hated generation alive.”

NY Post and Fox News columnist Carol Markovic he asked: Did Putin even stop thinking about how his invasion would affect Joy Behar’s trip to Italy?

Sports commentator @KFCBarstool accumulated: “The real horror of the global pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine? Joy Behar failed to travel to Italy. Thoughts and prayers for joy. We hope she survives this tragedy.

But Behar is not the only one to find herself in hot water for comments made on the long-running show – her co-host Upi Goldberg has been suspended following a global backlash over comments about the Holocaust.

In a January 31 broadcast, Goldberg said on the air that the Holocaust was “unrelated to race.”

She was soon forced into a two-week unpaid removal by ABC chief Kim Godwin, who said she wanted to end the “culture” in which The View presenter and her colleague Joy Behar could “talk and do whatever they want.” insiders told DailyMail.com.

Goldberg had to lose $ 192,000 due to the two-week suspension, sources told DailyMail.com.

But when she returned, she did not shy away from the controversy.

“It’s not always as beautiful as I said, and it’s not always as other people would like to hear, but it’s an honor to sit at this table and be able to have these conversations because they’re important,” she said last month.
