Torino de Talara appeals and hopes to continue in the

Atlético Torino de Talara was eliminated Peru Cup, after losing 3 games in a row at national level; against La Bocana de Sechura, Unión Santo Domingo de Chachapoyas (by decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the Peruvian Football Federation – FPF) and Leoncio Prado de Tumbes. However, the Talareño cast is resisting this situation and has appealed the sanction imposed by the match against Unión Santo Domingo.

The Disciplinary Committee of FPF decided to give Unión Santo Domingo the winner of the match against Atlético Torino as that match was not scheduled due to the Talareño cast having an outstanding payment that matched their debt financing agreement with the Football Players Association.

Although Torino met the payment quota outside the deadline and were scheduled to play against Leoncio Prado de Tumbes, the Talareño club are sticking with the game Union of Santo Domingo must be played.

“… The purpose is for the FPF Appeals Commission to lift this sanction and submit to the Amateur Football Subcommittee the postponement of this game in accordance with Date 5 of Phase 1 of the 2022 Peru Cup National Phase,” read the statement released dated grenade club.

This request comes a few days before the round of 16 of the national phase of the Peru Cup, which is scheduled to start this weekend.
