Pro rally driver and Hoonigan co-founder Ken Block was killed in a snowmobile accident Monday, Hoonigan and local authorities confirmed.

“It is with our deepest regret that we can confirm that Ken Block died in a snowmobile accident today,” Hoonigan said in a statement. “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer and an icon. And above all a father and husband.”
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office of the Wasatch County confirmed Block’s death in a statement posted to Facebook. Block was driving down a steep incline in the Mill Hollow area outside of Woodland, Utah, around 2:00 p.m. when his snowmobile “tipped over and landed on top of him,” police said. Block was driving with a group at the time of the incident, but alone. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
