A woman’s torso was found in a torso for rubbish in a shopping cart in Brooklyn by a terrified passer-by amid a huge jump in new York crime.

The woman’s body was found in a garbage bag without the head or limbs of a passer-by Pennsylvania and Atlantic Avenues in Brooklyn around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.

It is reported that the man saw the garbage bag in the shopping cart and decided to take it, but when he peeked inside, where he made the ominous discovery.

Police said the woman, who has not yet been identified, appears to have no gunshot or visible stab wounds or identification marks such as tattoos. The body also did not look decomposed, police said.

The 75th precinct found that the body belonged to an elderly woman and said that the forensic doctor would determine the cause of her death and would probably identify her by DNA.

Authorities are now searching video surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the woman’s attacker, and the incident is under investigation, but locals are worried about safety.

Police were still on the scene until 7 a.m. when an employee of a local hardware store was denied access to the store to open it because police tape blocked the entrance. New York Times reported. A pawn shop is also blocked.

The owner of a hardware store, Sung Hong, 64, was notified of the incident when his employee was unable to enter the store. Arriving an hour later from Long Island, Song asked the police to let him into his business.

The South Korean, who has become a New Yorker, said the news of the beheading has heightened his concerns about rising crime in New York, especially those affecting Americans of Asian descent.

“It’s getting worse and worse,” he told The New York Times. – I do not know what’s going on. It’s like people are crazy.

Local resident Violent Rodriguez told ABC 7: “Oh God, Jesus Christ, since no one is safe here these days, I don’t know what to do because I’m working around the corner.”

The busy intersection remained off during the morning trip and it is not known when it will reopen.

Americans of Asian descent had a 343 percent increase in hate crimes last year with 133 attacks.

A few days ago, a bleached blond homeless army veteran was arrested on suspicion of racist attacks on seven Asian women. He allegedly threw insults at NYPD cops after his arrest.

Stephen Zayonch, 28, was arrested on Wednesday (February 27th) after he barricaded himself in the bathroom of the New York Public Library and sparked a clash with police.

His alleged attacks come after a series of high-profile attacks on Americans of Asian descent in recent weeks – two of them deadly. Last week, 61-year-old Asian grandmother Guying Ma died after battling for three months to recover from a brain injury after being smashed in the face with a stone during a street attack in New York.
