A new 5.0 magnitude earthquake has hit the Turkish province of Hatay

According to technical data, the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 9.76 kilometers and some media describe it as a strong aftershock that caused panic among residents of the region who have been sleeping in tents since February 6 .

Anadolu News Agency reported that the new quake caused practically no damage in a city that is devoid of any inhabited buildings.

In addition to the two tellurium movements of February 6, measuring 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude, a new earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude was also detected later on February 20, also in Hatay, affecting several locations in that province as well as in Syria was felt , Israel, Lebanon, Egypt and Cyprus.

On the other hand, Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu told TV channel TRT that as of this Thursday, 43,556 deaths have been confirmed in the country, adding that the earthquakes are among the strongest in the world.
