Without much fanfare, the film To Love Again (or Love Again in the original English) has just entered the catalog of various video-on-demand platforms. It has to be said that its theatrical release on May 5 did not cause a great stir in dark rooms. In fact, the box office results were called “disappointing” by some and even a “monumental flop” by others.
In Quebec, the first two weeks of operation brought in nearly $200,000 in revenue, according to agency Cinéac. In North America, Celine Dion and her co-stars raised a total of CA$7.9 million over the same period. The film is still showing in some cinemas in the province.

Negative reviews
The film’s release was hampered by harsh reviews. According to Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from industry journalists, only 25% of media representatives gave “Love Again” a positive rating.
In this latest offering from filmmaker James C. Strouse, a reporter (Sam Heughan) enlists the help of none other than Celine Dion to meet and win over a woman (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) whose phone number he only has.
Filming on Loving Again took place in England and the US between October 2020 and early 2021 before the Charlemagne diva took a career break. Celine Dion is still on forced leave due to the stiff person syndrome (RPS) that has plagued her for almost two years.
