A new song for a good cause for Marie-Ève ​​​​Côté from “Star Académie”

The singer Marie-Ève ​​​​Côté, who we were able to follow during the second season of Star Academy, will release a new song next week, accompanied by a music video.

The singer-songwriter, who decided to retire from the music industry in 2020, returns with a new creation, “Let Me Shine”, which addresses domestic violence, be it psychological or physical.

For the production of the video clip, she surrounded herself with Christian Sbrocca and Bruno Labrie.

All profits from Let Me Shine downloads will be donated to the Crime Victim Assistance Center (CAVAC). With this initiative, Marie-Ève ​​​​Côté and her team want to play a concrete role in the lives of women affected by domestic violence.

Today, Marie-Ève ​​​​Côté, senior advisor of the multinational CGI, Nathalie Slight announced in July 2020 in the pages of La Semaine magazine that she is “drawing a final line” on the 15-year career in the music industry due to uncertainty, that floated there.

“The music industry was slowly killing me! “Looking back, I realize that it wasn't the music that I stopped loving, but all the uncertainty that comes with being a singer,” she said at the time.
