One of the cases that shocked netizens was an elephant that killed a woman and trampled on the corpse during the wake. Days later, the beast returned and did even greater damage.
Now the elephant decided to attack the village where his enemy lived and destroyed the house where she lived. The case happened in the Indian state of Odisha. The information comes from Kanak News.
It all started when Maya Murmu, the woman, was attacked by an elephant with serious injuries and died despite medical treatment. The body was released for burial and during the preparations the animal came back and stomped on the body, leaving everyone terrified.
But nobody would have guessed that there was more: the elephant made a noise to attract a herd and launched an attack of serious proportions on the village of Raipal, aiming at the house of its malcontents. The balance was that the property was completely destroyed with some dead goats tended to by Maya.
Other elephants eventually destroyed houses near Maya and ate all the food in the village. The vengeful elephant, on the other hand, threw the woman’s body out of the coffin, which left her organs with the impact.
People on the wake fled to save themselves from the fury of the animals, and one of them hung from a tree at dawn to save his own life.

Local police report that the revenge elephant has gone missing from the sanctuary 200 kilometers from the village. The main hypothesis for such violence is that industrial action is increasing near wildlife sanctuaries: 42 animals were unnaturally killed in 2021 alone.
