A native of Sainte-Adèle, young Alain was very athletic. In his youth he practiced tennis, baseball, soccer and golf, won several medals in track and field and tennis and played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Nevertheless, he already dreamed of becoming a magician in Las Vegas.

In the popular TV show AD Lib, hosted by Jean-Pierre Coallier on TVA from 1986 to 1995, the young man delighted viewers with his magic tricks. Thanks to the recognition of the general public, he presented his first major show, Première apparition, 200 times at the Théâtre Saint-Denis, a great success.

Alain in 2005. He had long since realized his childhood dream of performing on the Strip. After Atlantic City, he gave 300 gigs at Caesars Palace in Vegas in 1996 and then opened the huge Paris Las Vegas casino. Since then he has presented his shows all over Quebec and has had tremendous success.

15 years ago, Alain presented the conference show Magical Powers Within Us, which went far beyond magic. Since his big coup at the Casino de Montréal, where he made twelve randomly selected people disappear, his fame has stretched beyond our borders. Even the famous David Copperfield, impressed, had resumed his act in Las Vegas.

With the great Jean-Paul Belmondo, who in 2014 took part in a magic act with Alain as part of a famous French program. “My biggest TV moment of my career,” the magician admitted of the actor’s death. At that time, the magician presented his show Funnyly Magic more than 600 times on tour in France.

  • Alain puts the finishing touches on a new conference titled Nothing happens for freefor the corporate market.
  • His next book for magicians, a kind of professional biography, will be published in France in the autumn.
  • Alain will be the guest of honor at the French Magic Championship Congress in October.
