She has the power to influence the US presidential election, helped save the American economy and made history with the Grammy Award this year.

Now the Victoria and Albert Museum has created a position for an official Taylor Swift expert.

The museum in Kensington, west London, hopes to display memorabilia, handmade signs and merchandise related to the pop star ahead of her upcoming European tour.

The lucky employee will have the title of “Taylor Swift Superfan Adviser” and is said to have extensive knowledge of the singer, with bosses keen to hand the job to a “hard-working Swiftie”.

It's one of nine new jobs the museum is introducing for superfans and collectors of Crocs, Pokemon cards, Lego, emojis and drag.

They hope that the positions will promote knowledge within the museum and bring in basic knowledge.

This comes after research commissioned by the V&A found that 44 per cent of Brits consider objects in their own niche collections worthy of a place in a museum.

V&A Director Dr. Tristram Hunt said: “These new advisory roles will help us celebrate and learn more about the enormous and often surprising creative diversity that the V&A offers.”

And the 34-year-old, who supported Joe Biden in 2020, could even influence the 2024 US election.

A poll last month by Redfield & Wilton Strategies found that 18 percent of voters would be “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for a candidate supported by Ms. Swift.
