Ariana Grande Shares Emotional Post About Completing 'Wicked' Filming With Boyfriend Ethan Slater, Declaring She's 'Forever Bonded' With The Cast: 'I'm So Inexplicably Grateful'

Ariana Grande shared an emotional post on Instagram on Wednesday about completing filming on “Wicked,” where she met boyfriend Ethan Slater.

To mark the end of her days as Glinda the Good Witch, the 30-year-old Thank U, Next singer shared a behind-the-scenes image of her silhouette with the caption, “Handprint on my heart,” referencing the song “For Good “. , from the hit 2003 musical Wicked.

“I will never forget a single minute of my year(s). [Glinda]” she wrote on her Instagram story. 'Or you. or my Cyn [Cynthia Erivo]. Permanent and preferably intertwined.'

She continued, “I'm so inexplicably grateful that we were able to add so many dewy lashes to the collection.”

The two-time Grammy winner then thanked the film's director, Jon M. Chu, and admitted that there are “no words yet” to describe her feelings.

“Thank you, Jon, for moving forward with so much compassion, openness, brilliance and kindness,” she concluded. “I've never seen anyone run a room like you do. 'I love you so much.'

Her post was in response to Chu's Instagram post, saying goodbye to their time together on set.

The 44-year-old film director said he will “never forget” the year he worked with Grande.

“I can’t wait for you to meet her,” he told his followers.

He concluded: “Thank you @arianagrande for giving your heart to Oz.”

Grande portrays Glinda, the Good Witch, in the upcoming film based on Gregory Maguire's best-selling novel and the hit Broadway musical adaptation.

It is a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” in which the plot follows Dorothy and describes the former friendship between the characters Elphaba and Glinda.

“Wicked,” which is being adapted into a two-part series, has kept details of its filming secret.

Wicked Part 1 was originally scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2024, but was pushed back to November 27, 2024, with the second episode set to release on December 25, 2025.

Kristin Chenoweth, who originally played Glinda the Good Witch, has repeatedly said she is “so proud” of Grande for taking on her role.
