Travellers' Choice is presented by Tripadvisor and is the award given to destinations that receive positive reviews and opinions from platform users over a 12month period.
This achievement strengthens the world's appreciation for the natural beauty that Brazilian beaches offer their visitors.
While Baía do Sancho reigned in Fernando de Noronha last year and ceded its crown to Praia da Falésia in Portugal, the presence of Ipanema and Muro Alto highlights the diversity of Brazil's beaches.
It's worth noting that Ipanema Beach is no newcomer to international accolades, as it was recently ranked number two on the top 100 beaches in the world according to Lonely Planet.
In South America, Brazil claims five beaches among Travelers' Choice's top 10, with Ipanema and Muro Alto topping the list.

Located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Ipanema Beach is ranked 17th among the 25 best beaches in the world according to Travelers' Choice in 2024 and stands out for its variety of activities.

The 25th place was reserved for Praia de Muro Alto, which belongs to the Pernambuco district of Porto de Galinhas.
