“Bullet Train” smashes through the box office for the second week in a row.
It grossed almost $3.9 million on Friday alone, according to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo.
The Brad Pitt-led film is expected to gross over $13.1 million this weekend after its Aug. 5 premiere, according to Forbes. Since its premiere, tickets have sold for US$44.9 million domestically and US$77 million worldwide.
“DC League of Super-Pets” barked its way into second place, taking home almost $2 million in sales. Dwayne Johnson, who voices the character of Krypto the Superdog, recently posted a full post-credits scene from the film on Instagram, Deadline reported.
“Top Gun: Maverick,” which plummeted to sixth place last Friday, flew back to third place this week and earned over $1.9 million. The 1986 blockbuster reboot recently surpassed Titanic as the seventh-highest-grossing film in box office history, according to ABC.

Audiences are beginning to say “no” to Jordan’s Peele’s “Nope,” which slipped one spot to fourth place this week with sales of nearly $1.6 million. “Thor: Love and Thunder” followed in fifth place with a take of over $1.4 million.
