A wide range of duvets are available in stores. The most expensive ones even cost over 1,000 euros. What sets them apart are primarily the raw materials they are made of or not made of.

Soft, temperate, extra warm… Duvets are available in all price ranges and can even cost 1,000 euros or more. “I'm looking for an anti-mite product that I can put in the washing machine,” explains a woman on the shelf, while a man primarily wants “cozy, calming” sleep. Are such price differences justified when the choice is numerous?

Raw materials used

In a company in the Moselle, 75% of the production is synthetic because it is cheaper and recommended for allergy sufferers. Raw materials are also used, especially duck and goose. A natural duvet costs four times more than a synthetic one. For good quality, the down content must be at least 70%. Care and lifespan also vary depending on the nature of the duvet.
