A Princess Cruises ship crashed into the dock at Pier 27 in San Francisco on Thursday morning, officials said.
The Ruby Princess ship “had an unexpected contact” while docking at Pier 27 just after 6 a.m., said Negin Kamali, spokeswoman for Princess Cruises. None of the passengers or crew on board were injured, she said.
There were more than 3,300 guests and over 1,100 crew members on board at the time of the crash. The ship arrived from a 10-day round trip to Alaska that departed from San Francisco on June 26, Kamali said.
Officials are assessing the damage to the ship and pier, she said.
