Police are searching for the man who shot and killed a robber at a Texas Mexican restaurant. Eight shots were fired at the perpetrator, one in the head, who was threatening customers with a fake gun.
He waited until he was turned away to pull the gun from his pocket and fire the shots that killed him. This is the scene captured by the cameras of a Mexican restaurant in Texas, United States, where a man shot and killed a robber before running away under the amazed looks of those present.
The images of the incident were posted by the KHOU page, which has amassed more than ten million views on its Twitter profile: 30 seconds, during which a hooded young man with a mask can be seen walking late Thursday evening in the Ranchito Taqueria restaurant breaks in in the city of Houston. Armed with a pistol, the criminal threatens those present, robs them and steals their money. Some are lying on the floor, taking shelter under the tables, while others are frozen to their chairs.
A few seconds and we see the robber turning to the restaurant’s exit door and one of the customers pulling a gun from his pocket. The images stop, but the police, who then intervene on site, tell you how things are going to continue. The man fired eight shots at the perpetrator, killing him, one of them to the head while he was already on the ground. Only later did he realize that the robber’s gun was actually a fake.

Hence the escape. The police are now on his trail: “The man who shot then collected the money stolen by the robber and returned it to the customer – the police said in a statement – he and the others present then fled the scene”. He has no criminal charges at this time, but the Houston Police Department is on his trail.
