Daft Punk, Hauterive and Charlotte Cardin Among Music Releases of the Week – Radio-Canada.ca

Daft Punk farewell

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Random Access Memories, an electro and disco album that shook the music world upon its release, Daft Punk is thrilling fans by unveiling the demo of a song that was dropped from the opus at the time.

On Infinity Repeating we find the voice of the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, who also contributed to the hit Instant Crush, on an arrangement of warm synths and driving bass in tune with the sonic universe of the 2013 album phenomenon. A nostalgic journey feels a final farewell to the duo, who officially split two years ago.

Celine Dion and the Soundtrack of love again

On Friday, the soundtrack was released for the film “Love Again,” which hit theaters May 5 and marked Celine Dion’s first theatrical role. The album features Diva classics and five new songs including I’II Be, Waiting On You and Love of My Life.

While the film has already been dubbed a turnip by some media outlets, its soundtrack has also been met with skepticism. Many wondered if it really is Céline who sings, which is why her voice is manipulated in the new songs.

Keep in mind that the singer suffers from a rare neurological pathology – stiff person syndrome – that causes muscle spasms and interferes with her daily life, especially when she walks and uses her vocal cords.
