Full House star Dave Coulier shared a disturbing photo of his bloodied face after a fall when he revealed he was an alcoholic, just two months after co-star Bob Saget died.
The 62-year-old actor took to Instagram to share the disturbing snap, along with a lengthy caption talking about his alcohol use disorder and his more than two-year journey to sobriety.
He began the long caption to the dramatic photo with the words: “I was drunk. Yes. Alcoholic. I have not been drinking since January 1, 2020.

“When I was drinking, I was the life of the party. I could make people laugh until they fell. In this picture, I was the one who fell.
“Not because I played hockey or did what I loved, like chopping wood or doing construction, playing golf, fishing or flying planes. I was hit by a hammer, and I fell, climbing some stone stairs.
He went on to say that no one liked to drink beer with friends after playing hockey or golf.
Coulier continued: “8 hours of drinking, laughing and funny stupidity followed by two days of feeling like a bowl of dog shit. I loved the booze, but it didn’t reciprocate.

“I decided to make a decision for the sake of my own well-being, my family and those who love me so much. Mental and physical care was a great challenge for me, but I was supported by friends and friends who have already passed this way.
Culier concluded the heartfelt message with a special mention to his wife, Melissa Bring, whom he has been married to since 2014.
He wrote: “The psychological and physical transformation was amazing. The sky is bluer, my heart is no longer closed, and more than ever before, I enjoy making people laugh until they fall.
Thank you Melissa for being by my side. I love you [red heart emoji]’
Past: Coulier enjoys an alcoholic drink during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Saget in January 2014.
He certainly had the support of his wife, who commented on the daring snap with an encouraging message, writing, “So proud of you. I love you and your strength so much!! [two red heart emojis]’
His former Fuller House co-star Candace Cameron Bure also responded, “Love you and always proud of you.” [red heart emoji].’
The revelation comes just months after his beloved Full House co-star Bob Saget was found dead in his Florida hotel room on January 9 during a series of stand-up performances.

The chief medical examiner for Orange and Osceola Counties in Florida ruled that Saget most likely “falled backward unnoticed and hit the back of his head.”
The fall resulted in a brain hemorrhage. An autopsy confirmed that there were no drugs or alcohol in Saget’s system. He was 65 years old.

Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone on the show, spoke about how the cast came together after the unexpected death of Saget, who played Danny Tanner, in January.
“It’s moments like these that bring the whole family together,” the comedian said. “We have experienced almost everything that a real family can experience. Elevation, cancellation, marriages, divorces, births, deaths. I mean, almost every family goes through this. And we stuck together through it all.
“It’s incredible that there’s a group of people in our lives where we know we’re going to get this instant support system. It’s pretty special.”
