Cody Rhodes targeted Roman Reigns and the WWE Universal title at WrestleMania 40, and that meant finding a worthy challenger to Seth Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship in another way. This way: an Elimination Chamber match at today's (Sat., Feb. 24, 2024) Elimination Chamber premium live event at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.
The order of entry:
And the order of elimination (and who they were eliminated by):
Everyone made it into the game before the first elimination took place. Meanwhile, Orton draped DDT on the outside mat and immediately started selling as if he had tweaked his back again, which became the focus for him. Elsewhere, Paul secured the decisive advantage and was speared through one of the pods by Lashley. It wasn't long before Bobby was knocked out by a claymore.
Suddenly AJ Styles appeared, sat down next to Knight and left him lying on a chair after a Styles Clash. McIntyre didn't look like a gift horse when he grabbed the pin to get LA out of there.
Despite his back injury, Owens was taken down after a long back and forth with Orton. He also managed to defeat Paul, who had just pulled out the brass knuckles and spent too much time cocking them without paying attention to the RKO (out of nowhere, of course).
And then Paul, angered by the situation, stayed in long enough to beat Orton down with the brass knuckles. McIntyre, ever the opportunist, picked up the win and pinned Orton to win the match and book his ticket to the big show.
