Kim Kardashian “likes” a tweet praising boyfriend Pete Davidson

A tweet in favor of Pete gets a retweet.

Kim Kardashian signed a comment on Twitter on Thursday praising her boyfriend Pete Davidson amid ongoing social media tirades by her ex-husband Kanye West about the Saturday Night Live star.

Director James Gunn, who worked with 28-year-old Davidson in the 2016 film Suicide Squad. tweeted on Thursday morning”For the record, Pete Davidson is one of the nicest and kindest guys I know. Truly generous, gentle and funny, he treats everyone around him with respect. ”

The 41-year-old Kardashian indiscreetly “liked” the tweet and he appeared on the reality star’s “likes” show to see all her 71.4 million followers on Twitter.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alumna had to defend her new handsome man as the 44-year-old West continues to attack him online and in his songs.

The rapper of “Heartless” previously called the local resident of Staten Island “d-khead”, seemingly overshadowed him in his role for the new single of Fivio Foreign “City of Gods” and threatened to “beat his ass” in his recent song ” Easy “

Kardashian is said to have warned her ex in a series of private text messages – which West leaked online – that she was concerned about Davidson’s safety as a result of the cyberbullying.

“You’re creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone is going to hurt Pete, and it’s all your fault,” said the Skims founder of the hip-hop icon.

West, who called Davidson “Skeet,” responded with an already deleted post that said, “AT MY WIFE’S REQUEST, PLEASE DON’T DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL, FOR A SKYT, I WILL GET AN ORGANIZED SITUATION.”

Kardashian interrupted West’s follow-up on Instagram after his constant speeches on social media.

In a text leaked online by West, the King of Staten Island star once said in private to Yeezy’s CEO: “And you, as a man, will never interfere with your children. This is a promise. How you raise your children is none of my business. I hope one day to meet them and all of us to be friends. “

West and Kardashian share four children: North, 8, St., 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.

But despite pleas from the mother of his children and Davidson, West’s attacks continue.

Most recently, the billionaire rapper released a shocking music video for “Eazy”, in which he kidnapped and buried Davidson alive.

Sources told Six that the turmoil only brought Kardashian and Davidson closer. The two have been dating since October 2021.

Kardashian formally filed for divorce in February 2021 and was declared unmarried by a California judge on Wednesday.

Marian Lee replaces Bozoma St. John as Chief Marketing Officer

Marian Lee has been promoted to chief marketing officer of Netflix. She replaces Bozoma St. John, who joined the streaming giant in 2020 after serving senior executives at Uber and Apple.

Lee joined the company in July 2021 as vice president of marketing for the United States and Canada (UCAN in Netflix), overseeing all campaigns for the company’s movies and series. Before entering the world of streaming, Lee worked with major fashion and music brands, including an eight-year stay at Spotify. Harvey Weinstein was caught smuggling milk powder in prison

Harvey Weinstein was caught smuggling Milk Duds in November, prompting reprimands from LA County wardens, according to records reviewed by Variety.

The Milk Duds were discovered during a search on November 10, after Weinstein had a face-to-face meeting with Sean Berkeley, one of his lawyers. Milk Duds were confiscated, and security guards warned they would have to search lawyers’ legal files and laptop bags for future visits.

Weinstein told security that he brought Milk Duds with him when he was extradited from New York in July. But prison officials said he was searched on arrival at Los Angeles County Jail and nothing was found, leading them to conclude that Milk Duds had been handed over to him during a lawyer’s visit.

Weinstein apologized for the incident in a statement to Variety.

“It was an innocent misunderstanding,” Weinstein said. “It will not happen again. I have been a model prisoner, following the rules and regulations, and I sincerely regret it.”

Weinstein’s leading lawyers, Mark Verksman and Alan Jackson, also apologized.

“We were informed of this and we are very sorry that it happened,” they said. “It simply came to our notice then. Harvey was a model prisoner and intends to continue as such. “

The infamous producer has been detained at the Correctional Treatment Center, a medical unit at Twin Towers Prison in downtown Los Angeles, while awaiting trial on 11 charges of rape and sexual assault. In 2020, he was sentenced to 23 years in prison in New York. This sentence is being appealed and the appeal is expected to be decided within the next few months.

Weinstein is entitled to personal visits with his lawyers as he prepares for the trial. But prison officials warned that if additional smuggling was discovered, lawyers could be forced to use a special booth.

Weinstein faces a number of health problems, including diabetes, as well as heart problems, sleep apnea and eye problems.

Lupine, the French drama about Netflix robberies, is a victim of theft

Lupen, the hit French robbery drama, was itself at the center of a robbery last week when some 20 young men dressed in balaclavas stole more than $ 300,000 worth of equipment from the set during filming in a Paris suburb, he said. Netflix spokesperson.

The theft, reported by the international news agency Agence France-Presse and the French newspaper Le Parisien, took place just over a week after more than 200 antique items worth more than $ 200,000 were stolen from vehicles during the filming of the fifth season of The “crown” in England, according to South Yorkshire and Netflix police.

Netflix said in a statement Thursday that there was an “incident” during the filming of the third season of Lupine on February 25.

“Our cast and crew are safe and no one was injured,” the statement said. “Now we’ve resumed the photos.”

A Netflix spokeswoman said equipment and other items worth about 300,000 euros, or $ 332,000, had been stolen by men who appeared on set and “attacked” with fireworks. The shooting was stopped for one afternoon and local police are investigating, she said.

“Lupine” has become a global phenomenon since its release in January 2021 and is one of Netflix’s most original non-English language shows. Omar Si plays Asan Diop, a noble Parisian and the son of a Senegalese immigrant who adores Arsene Lupen, a “gentleman thief” and protagonist in a collection of short stories by French writer Maurice LeBlanc, which began in 1905.

A spokesman for police in Nanterre, a suburb outside Paris where the filming took place, said he could not comment on the case.

In an earlier statement about the Crown theft, Netflix said it hoped the items stolen from the Doncaster set in northern England would be found and returned. The stolen items include a replica of Faberge’s egg, several sets of silver and gold candelabra, a clock face of Grandpa William IV, a silver 10-piece dresser set and crystal glassware, according to a report in the Antiques Trade Gazette.

“The stolen items are not necessarily in the best condition and therefore of limited value for resale,” Alison Harvey, stage decorator for the fifth season of The Crown, told the Antiques Trade Gazette. “However, they are valuable as parts of the UK film industry.

Police in South Yorkshire said they received a theft report in the late afternoon of February 16th. Three vehicles containing props were “broken” and “several items” were taken, they said. “Officers are investigating the incident, but all existing lines of investigation have already been exhausted,” a brief statement from police said.

Matt Stevens contributed to the reports.

Brandon Sanderson’s Kickstarter exceeds $ 19 million in two days

Brandon Sanderson asked people on Kickstarter for $ 1 million to publish four novels he wrote during the pandemic. It was funded in 35 minutes.

Two days later, Sanderson’s campaign surpassed $ 19 million from more than 76,000 supporters – and he still has 28 days. It is already the most funded Kickstarter for a publishing project, overshadowing Sanderson’s previous campaign, which raised $ 6.7 million.

A prolific author of science fiction and fantasy, Sanderson is best known for creating Cosmere’s fictional universe in which most of his novels unfold. This includes the series “Mistborn” and “The Stormlight Archive”.

He also helped complete the last three novels in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series, which was recently turned into an Amazon television series.

Sanderson’s Kickstarter offers supporters four new novels, three of which are being developed at Cosmere, such as digital ebooks, audiobooks or physical copies based on their level of donation. People who spend above a certain threshold will also receive eight monthly boxes of items related to Sanderson’s work.

As the owner of a small book company called Dragongsteel Entertainment, Sanderson used Kickstarter as a way to raise enough money to have enough books available to meet demand and to offer a one-year subscription box service.

Many artists turned to Kickstarter to fund projects and assess consumer demand. Clearly, readers want more from Sanderson.

“I started it all by doing my best to surprise you,” Sanderson wrote in an update to Kickstarter on Wednesday. “Now you’ve turned it back on me … It’s amazing, amazing and a little amazing. I went to bed last night hoping people would enjoy my little revelation and woke up to a phenomenon.

Melinda French Gates says she is “friendly” but not friends with Bill Gates | Melinda French Gates

Melinda French Gates has publicly spoken out about her divorce from Bill Gates, saying that although she and the co-founder of Microsoft are “friendly at the moment”, she is not ready to call her relationship with Gates “friends”.

In a recent interview with Gail King of CBS, French Gates said a number of factors led to the divorce of the high-profile couple last May after 27 years of marriage.

“Not one moment or one thing happened. There just came a time when there was enough out there that I realized it just wasn’t healthy. “I couldn’t trust what we had,” said the billionaire philanthropist.

French Gates revealed that she cried many times during her marriage, sometimes while lying on the floor. “How can I become? How will I move? ”She wondered, she said.

“I gave every part of myself to this marriage. “I was committed to this marriage the day we got engaged and the day I got out of it … but I also think society put things on women as if it were our fault,” she said. “I did nothing wrong, so I look up.

In 2021, Gates admitted to having an affair with a Microsoft employee, which Microsoft asked its board to investigate shortly before his resignation in 2020.

“There was an affair almost 20 years ago that ended amicably,” said Gates spokeswoman Bridget Arnold.

Speaking about the affair, French Gates said he “certainly believes[s] in forgiveness and that’s why I thought we worked through part of it. “

Asked about a report claiming that Gates had had many affair, French Gates said: “You know, I think these are questions that Bill has to answer.”

She said Bill Gates’ frequent meetings with financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein played a role in the divorce. She said: “I didn’t like that he had met with Jeffrey Epstein … I told him that clearly.

She added that she met Epstein once because “I wanted to see who this man was and I regretted it from the second I stepped through the door.”

“He was disgusting, he embodied evil. I had nightmares about it after that, “said French Gates.

Overwhelmed by Gates’ ongoing meetings with Epstein, despite her disapproval, she said: “Every question that remains about Bill’s relationship … they have to answer Bill.”

French Gates said she would continue to work with her ex-husband at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which they co-founded more than 20 years ago.

“We certainly have a working relationship and I would say we are friendly at the moment,” she said.

“Friends?” King asked.

French Gates said: “Friends is a different word for me… which may come with time, but for me there is still healing that needs to happen.”

She said she was open to falling in love and dating again. “I hope this happens to me again. “I’m dipping my finger in this water,” she said.

Last month, French Gates announced that it would no longer direct most of its wealth through the Gates Foundation, one of the world’s largest philanthropic organizations.

“I think philanthropy is most effective when it gives priority to flexibility over ideology – and why I will continue to look for new partners, ideas and perspectives in my work at the Foundation and Pivotal Ventures,” wrote French Gates, referring to its investments and incubation company she founded in 2015

Pamela Adlon reflects on better things, season 5, end of the series

Better Things, Pamela Adlon’s semi-autobiographical meditation on motherhood and middle-class Hollywood careers, began its fifth and final season on FX (and Hulu) on February 28th. In the six years since its premiere, the 55-year-old writer, director and actress has seen his own perception of the city change dramatically – from character actor to author – in a relatively short time. But, as Adlon insisted during a call in mid-February from the home editing kit, where she links the latest episodes of her series, she doesn’t have a bandwidth for other people’s expectations.

Your character has such good advice for his children. Have you ever thought that you would be a different parent if there was a room for writers to tell you what to say?

Everyone needs a room for writers, for a connection to be a parent, for every single thing. The biggest part of this show is that I can put things in there, those things where you sit there and say, “God, I want to do it this way.” I always say that my character must be wearing a cloak and it is true. She is the worst of me. She is the best of me. And I can put all that into so many aspects of the show.

Some people judge your fictional parenting?

I was often told that Sam was a passive parent. Really? Is that what you get out of it? I feel like she’s so engaged. She makes many sacrifices for her daughters. But other people say, “She’s so permissive. She allows her daughters to talk to her in a horrible way. “Well, try to raise three girls on your own. Just try the hell.

I haven’t watched the new season yet. What would you like to tell me about this?

Don’t watch it on FX with ads. I will vomit. There’s nothing more dehumanizing than watching an episode of my show with commercial breaks. And when do they finally grab the title? It’s like taking my balls, tearing them off and throwing them in the trash.

So, you say that your next project will not be a sitcom on the broadcast network.

Here is my secret fantasy. Aside from just continuing to make TV and movies, I’ve always wanted to do a multicamera as a showrunner. I just think there are so many missed opportunities in the multicamera and this world excites me. Love it.

Pamela Adlon would appreciate it if people stopped judging their mothers – on television and in real life: “You are trying to raise three girls alone. Just damn it. “Eric Tanner / Getty Images Outline

This is the beginning of a kind of farewell tour. How do you feel, festive or gloomy?

I feel excited. I always live my life in a very reflexive way. When I started this show, it was more than seven years ago. All three of my girls were still in school and under one roof. I had time to think and dream when my children were younger. When you are a parent, this is a way to connect with the world. And this is my experience with my show: first to think about where my children are and then to dive into it. I really am the mother of the whole show. At the moment, I’m just full of gratitude.

Given what the job involves, maybe we should remove the term showrunner and call it what it is – “mom”.

Yes! Thank you. When I had my first apartment, I lived alone when I was a teenager, everyone came through my apartment, lived on my fucking couch and called me mom or mom, so that’s something that’s always been part of my DNA.

From the point of view of being a reflective person, how does this affect your artistic process? Are you the type of person who wants to be able to go back and make changes to the final version, or do you sleep well knowing it’s done?

Oh, I’ll definitely say, “Can I go back and unlock this cut to fix this one thing?” Or, “Okay, this is going to be in the next show or in a movie, or another project, or something like that.” This season I just want to make sure I put everything there. I took a nap like a cat before talking to you, and they woke me up to approve a new line for 506. I watched it yesterday and said, “What the hell is this song?” . So, I just came in and approved this beautiful line. If I had slept on it, it wouldn’t have happened.

After working with Louis CK for the first two seasons, you ran
Better things solo for the last three. What did you learn about yourself by taking it all in?

I think that just proved something to me, namely that I am a lone wolf. I look back on my life and I’ve been in and out of relationships since I was 18. You’re becoming very addicted in the world. You think you should have a backup. You don’t think you can really get on your feet. This is a very important thing – and especially for women, it is a disease that does not go away. It is very important that the show ends with me still standing and presenting the show with only one face on my head. I am extremely grateful for the support I received here to stay here and for the fact that I did not give up. I just kept going. I feel extremely grateful and overwhelmed.

You have already mentioned gratitude twice. Why don’t you say you’re proud?

Yes, that’s funny. A month or two ago, my friends and I spent this weekend in one of their houses. There was a yogi and a wise Indian sage astrologer. He talked about karma and everything else. He said: “This is gratitude that you should feel, not pride. I’m kind of scared of that word just because I just did this intense weekend.

Fewer of the two seem appropriate here. I’m not psychoanalyzing you either, but anecdotally it seems that women often say gratitude while men sink into pride.

Oh, I hear you. Listen, I’ve been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that if I were a man and if Better Things was still my show, the world would look very different.

Lazy loaded image

How do you think they see Hollywood now compared to seven years ago, before the premiere of Better Things?

More people know about me, but there are still a significant number of people who say, “Who? What show? “(Laughs.) I’ll never be in a place where I say,” They’ll know me! “I’m always insecure, thinking that people think I’m someone else – that they don’t get the name right. me or that they don’t know my show. This may even be a better place for me because the work will speak for itself.

But for people who know you, you are now labeled “copyrighted.” Do you find that this brings expectations?

Well, I guess that means I’m French? (Laughs.) That’s a compliment, because they say I have a special way of telling a story. This is something I do not take lightly. That’s why I review every moment of every episode. That’s the thing with Eleanor Roosevelt. Do one thing every day that scares you.

Definitely.

And it’s nothing. These are important words to live. Don’t worry if people don’t understand it or don’t understand a certain nuance or gesture, scene, character or word. Believe that you know what you are doing. I have this show about a single mother raising her three daughters and having her own older mother who lives just across the street. These are things I would like to see when I was a young mother. When I was a young mother, I was very scared of other mothers. And I just wanted to go and look in their kids’ lunch boxes. I wanted to go to their kitchens in the morning and see what they were preparing for their families for breakfast, because I always had the feeling that I wasn’t doing enough – that I didn’t have enough.

Did you pack your kids’ lunch or something?

Hell, no, Mikey!

Then I think he did enough.

When I found out they were serving these irradiated hot plastic lunch to the kids at school … Oh, my God. I went crazy. Come on, man. We can do better.

After going through last season’s editing, what’s next for you?

I started a development company about two years ago. This has been going on all this time. I adapted a book into a script with my tall friend based on her memoirs. I will be directing a film in September. I really can’t talk about it, but I’m excited about it. There are a lot of small projects, people I keep and mentor. We’ll see if anything sticks. I have a limited series under development in FX. It’s all my father here, it’s the iron in the fire thing. I can’t believe what I see in front of me.

Strange place to put an end to this … but you grew up with Lenny Kravitz, who recently told The Washington Post that he was in love with you in high school. Do you want to react?

What can I say? This is a fucking legend, honey.
