FULL tour of a standard Star Wars cabin room: Galactic Starcruiser

Here we are on the first public cruise in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to present a reflection of the entire experience, including a full tour of a standard cabin aboard the Halcyon.

Each standard cabin can sleep up to five guests, with a double bed, two single beds and a pull-out bed.

Screen and control panel are directly opposite the double bed.

This screen is where the D3-09 will help guests (when traveling where available). The telephone in the room, the thermostat and the light button are also on this panel.

The screen shows the journey of Halcyon.

Window overlooks the queen bed.

The window controls are on the ledge, so you can essentially turn it off.

Under the window there is a pull-out table and two rolling orange ottomans tucked into a briefcase hole.

Small end tables protrude from the wall on both sides of the bed, revealing ports on the wall.

The reading lamp also protrudes from the wall and can be twisted and adjusted to look in different directions. There are recycling bins and garbage.

The lights are above and below the bed, which has white quilted sheets.

There is also a long orange and gray runner with the Chandrila Star Line logo.

The pillowcases are also embroidered with the logo.

The beds have a built-in ladder.

Each has a pillow, an orange sheet and a rolled-up blanket with the Chandrila Star Line logo.

The headboard of the bed and the ceiling are padded. Light comes out of the back wall above each bed. There are no exits in the beds.

There is a closet in the corridor leading from the cabin door.

There are two white bathrobes and a spare pillow.

There are holes for lockers on one side of the closet. Here guests will find a safe and a “cooler” (refrigerator).

There is vanity next to the closet.

Bottle of water and glasses sitting on a tray. The bottle can be refilled in the atrium.

The dressing table has a mirror with rounded corners and built-in lights. There are more side ports on the side.

There is an illuminated control panel near the front door, which allows you to indicate “Do not disturb” (the lock) or that you need a household (cleaning droid).

Opposite the toilet is the bathroom (or “freshener”).

There is a shower cabin with a frosted sliding glass door. Don’t worry, galactic travelers. This is not a sound shower, just plain water.

The walls are white rectangular tiles, while the ground has gray triangular tiles.

Like other Walt Disney World resorts, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are wall-mounted. Here in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, they are in themed silver and orange boxes.

There is a ceiling shower and a walk-in shower. The shower is narrow but deep.

There is a sink and another lighted mirror next to the toilet.

Hand soap and body lotion are also mounted on the wall in themed boxes. The CSL tin can has face towels and bubble masks in the background, a set that can also be purchased at the gift shop.

The white towels are embroidered with the orange Chandrila Star Line logo. The hair dryer is in a box labeled “thermal fan”.

The toilet has a high ovular mirror and orange stripes on the wall.

There are also hooks for hanging bathrobes.

Futurama star John DiMaggio joins Hulu Revival: “I’m back, honey!”

Futurama voice actor John DiMaggio has officially joined the revival of Hulu in his favorite animated sci-fi comedy series, ending a long and bitter saga known as #Bendergate.

“I’m back, darling! I’m so damn grateful for the love and support of both fans and colleagues all this time (especially my wife Kate) and I can’t wait to get back to work with my Futurama family,” Di said. Maggio in a statement: “#Bendergate is officially over, so put it on the back of a shelf behind Christmas decorations, or maybe in that kitchen drawer with all the other nonsense you put there like old useless crazy glue, or maybe even put it in You save farts. Whatever’s floating in your boat, I don’t care, you know. I’m back, darling! GIVE ME THE GLOSSY METAL ASS! “

When the revival was announced in February, fans were intimidated when DiMaggio’s name was not on the list of returning original cast members. DiMaggio thanked fans for their support, later saying he believed he and the rest of the cast deserved to be paid more than what was offered to him for returning to the show.

Actors from the original series Billy West, Katie Sagal, Tres McNeill, Maurice Lamarche, Lauren Tom, Phil Lamar and David Herman are also back.

“From the moment John DiMaggio auditioned last century, we knew we had our Bender,” said Matt Groening. “So congratulations to everyone at Futurama. We’re all back, darling! ”

“John DiMaggio may be a great robot, but he’s also a great man,” added David X. Cohen, Futurama’s executive producer. “Not many people or machines can say that. For the fourth time, it’s a thrill to come back once in a lifetime with all our original cast and phenomenal animators from Rough Draft Studios! ”

Hulu took 20 episodes of the new iteration of Futurama, which comes from Groening and Cohen. Production is underway and the show is expected to debut in 2023. 20th Television Animation is producing Futurama with Rough Draft Studios, Inc., which contributes to the animation.

Futurama focuses on the life of Philip Fry (West), a 25-year-old pizza delivery man who accidentally freezes on December 31, 1999 and wakes up 1,000 years later with a new beginning in life and a new group of friends, including Lila. Sagal), a tough but wonderful one-eyed mutant, and Bender (Di Maggio), a robot who likes to drink excessively, smoke cigars and steal everything that is not nailed down.

This is the second time the show has returned since it originally launched in 1999. After its initial four-season broadcast on Fox, the show’s reruns have found new life as part of Adult Swim’s Cartoon Network and DVD. Four direct-to-video films were then produced, which were later re-edited in the fifth season, which aired on Comedy Central in 2008. Comedy Central will continue to air two more seasons, consisting of 26 episodes each between 2010 and 2013. d.

I’m going to start making my way towards the border. I have options. Just a little nervous but I think it’s going to be alright. I know its’ going to be okay.’ He later boards a train heading to Warsaw alongside women and children, calling the journey ‘claustrophobic.’

MARCH 1

The dancing pro reaches Warsaw, Poland after 31 hours of no sleep on his ‘traumatizing’ train ride women and children fleeing Ukraine following the Russian invasion. The star thanks the ‘amazing Polish people.’

Emotional: Maksim, pictured on February 24, shared a tearful clip from Kyiv and said ‘I want to go back home’ and says he is ‘about to go into a bomb shelter because s**t’s going down’

Hours after his arrival to Warsaw, Maks did an Instagram live from his hotel room, thanking everyone for their support and help along the way.

‘This is nine pm [local time] so this is my 36th hour of being awake. It’s not an exaggeration. I woke up at 9 am… I don’t even know… two days ago… yesterday or whatever. I boarded the train to Warsaw last second at whatever… and it took off. We started driving at 7:30/7:20 something like that. And I got to the Warsaw central train station at exactly 6:30 so it was about a 23 hour trip from Kyiv to Warsaw.’

‘And right now it’s 36 hours since I’ve been awake. I have a lot of details about this trip. I’m not going to talk about this right now. But I want to say a couple of things. I have a lot to unpack, it’s going to take a very long time and the number one priority right now is the fact that the war is just heating up right now. I keep seeing reports and they are going to get worse.’

‘I’m telling you, some of the images… and I’m going to say forgive me for posting it, but at the same time, I want to. It has to come out. We’ve become so sterile with the way we accept news. “Oh, that’s too graphic, oh I can’t believe they showed that on TV.” Well I can’t believe you see that on the street. I can’t believe that people walking by today, a couple of hours ago, got hit by a rocket and its incinerated the entire family. A mom, dad and two kids. And I have that video. And I have that image. I have that in my head as something that as something that also happened. Right? And it is so close.’

Newest update: Hours after his arrival to Warsaw, Maks did an Instagram live from his hotel room, thanking everyone for their support and help along the way

‘And it is so real. And it is so traumatic. And it’s so crazy. It’s not right. I want to say a lot but I promise this isn’t the time for me. It’s not a good time. I won’t be able to express myself. I’m already tearing up and choking and it’s not right. I just want to say what I want to say. So the unpacking comes later. Please, as you can see, what has started as a usual for Putin campaign, to take over the government, just pop it… whatever in place. And to extend his regime. Has turned into a David and Goliath of just massive proportions.’

‘It’s the reality. David and Goliath in reality. And the little guy… you know, I’ve always had this analogy in my head, I feel like I’m in high school again in Brooklyn. I feel like I’m in a hallway and I feel like I’m watching a little kid get beat up by a big kid and all of the little kids. And this kid happens to be like extra big. All of us are passing by. We think it’s wrong but we can’t just jump in and that’s the reality of life and that’s how it happens because we are all so terrified by the big kid, we don’t want want to get punched in the face as an innocent bystander or “Hey, stop that!” And then also get beat up.’

‘So what happens is we stay and watch… we stand and we watch and you know what we see? We see the little kid get bloody nose, a black eye, get punched and punched repeatedly, and then something happens. And the little kid does something. And maybe the big kid falls down. Or we see that there’s a change. And that’s the human reaction where everybody joins in. I don’t care if its wrong, I don’t care if its not the way it should be, but whenever you feel ready to join in, you have to join in. This is a communal situation. We live in a place today… a planet to me looks like a communal living space… in all USSR, we had families bunk and live together and share a kitchen. You’re not strangers then.’

Speaking out: ‘This is nine pm [local time] so this is my 36th hour of being awake. It’s not an exaggeration. I woke up at 9 am… I don’t even know… two days ago… yesterday or whatever. I boarded the train to Warsaw last second at whatever… and it took off. We started driving at 7:30/7:20 something like that. And I got to the Warsaw central train station at exactly 6:30 so it was about a 23 hour trip from Kyiv to Warsaw’

‘You’re people that share the same air. Same space. Russia and Ukraine, they have to wear… if you noticed watching the reports, Russians have a white band around their arm, Ukraine has a yellow band. There are different other bands within both sides that signify other things. You know why they have to have bands? Because they look the same. Because it’s the same person. It’s a cousin, a brother… it’s not even a cousin, it’s a brother.’

‘Two brothers fighting. Moscow and Russia as it is, and this is the history lesson that whatever his name is omitted, because it started a 100 something years ago. But the reality is that Russian came out of Kyiv’ruse… it was originally Kyiv… Kyiv was the place. It was the capital and then the group of people relocated. And they found Moscow. And the reason why they found Moscow is because they kept getting attacked by outside invaders. Genghis Khan. Ottoman Empire. Whatever. Alexander Great. It’s not a history lesson.’

‘But the reality is, that that was a strategic move. To move Moscow inward, North, inland. And to leave Ukraine as a buffer for attackers. So whenever someone is attacking Russia, they got to go through Ukraine. By the time they get to Russia, Russian forces will be ready. And that’s the mindset of this nut job maniac that is running the show. He’s insane. Because he’s trying to build this empire based on old traditions. We don’t live in that world anymore. We don’t buy a house and build a f****g moat around it with a drawbridge. This isn’t medieval times. You don’t buffer your country from an invasion. It’s 2022. If somebody wants to do something global, they can use a satellite dish. What’s the point of buffering? You got rockets that fly insane territories. You have weapons that do stupid stuff. And you can see it today from these images.’

Maksim went on to say that Putin is ‘exterminating’ people by trying to throw everything at Ukraine, adding that the country will stand.

‘We lived through so much down time… so much uncertainty.. I don’t mean the pandemic and the previous state of the world… we’re still all divided and nonsense among us.. but look how united we are over Ukraine. The world. It’s the most beautiful thing ever. And it took a war us to get together at this level.’

He added that he has ‘lived through some s**t that I’m going to need a lot of therapy for.’

From the heart: Maksim went on to say that Putin is ‘exterminating’ people by trying to throw everything at Ukraine, adding that the country will stand

The latest: Maksim has been documenting his journey fleeing his native country after the Russian invasion. The father of one finally arrived to Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday after 31 hours of no sleep

Family: Maks and Peta, who married in 2017, are parents to five-year-old son Shai

He took to his Instagram stories explaining that they stopped to change the wheels off the train on their trek to Poland.

‘I’m at a station about 20, 30, 40, I don’t actually know where I’m at but like 30 minutes before the Polish border, they stopped to change wheels on the train, I can’t make this up and let us out… for fresh air and I went to the bathroom and now we’re going back and this is the train,’ as he showed train and the crowds.

‘So now that I see it, there’s… yesterday I didn’t see it it was night I had no idea where we were… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 cars about 130-something people each and one cart that is all sicker kids and people… its not as packed but all the others are packed to the brink.

Maks said it was a stop about ‘thirty minutes from the Polish border’ as he walked to the bathroom.

Made it: The star, who also revealed he was arrested in Kyiv, revealed that after a long ‘claustrophobic’ and ‘traumatizing’ train ride with women and children out of the war torn country

He said there’s about 130 people on each of the five cars on the train, noting that one cart is only for sick children and people so its not as packed as the other four.

The star then showed off the poor conditions of the bathroom he was forced to use during the train stop.

After his arrival to Poland, Maks revealed he’s been running on 31 hours no sleep.

He took a moment to thank the Polish people: ‘I absolutely have to say this: Polish people are amazing!!!! Thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart and soul,’ adding a prayer sign, heart and hands in the air emoji.

Maksim followed it up with footage from people showing Ukrainians allegedly stealing a tank from the Russian army.

Gratitude: He took a moment to thank the Polish people: ‘I absolutely have to say this: Polish people are amazing!!!! Thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart and soul,’ adding a prayer sign, heart and hands in the air emoji

He also posted stories showing expired food the Russian army allegedly issued their militia, with the date of 2015.

Maks later wrote: ‘Russian state propaganda machine will say my last post is fake. Fundamentally flawed way of governing humans by using propaganda (lies) and fear. Benn there, done that… emigrated.’

Maksim lives in California with wife Peta and their son Shai, five; the dancing pro was born in Ukraine but immigrated to New York with his parents and brother Val in 1994, where they became US citizens.

Speaking to his followers: He was sharing information about the journey as he headed to the bathroom

He also posted a woman shouting in Ukrainian from her window as the Russian army bombed residential buildings, and not the military structures they have been claiming is their focus.

Another clip showed children making camouflage nets to help in their battle, and another was of an elderly woman with graphic injuries, with her foot blown off.

The Ukrainian star updated followers in series of social media posts on Monday, detailing his ‘traumatizing’ attempt to get out of the country amid the Russian invasion.

Chmerkovskiy, who has been in Kyiv working as a judge on the Ukrainian version of World of Dance, had planned on staying in his native land when the fighting first broke out, however, after he got a ‘reality check’ by being arrested he decided to flee.

The country announced last week that men of fighting age – between 18-60 – were prohibited from leaving Ukraine but since Maks holds a U.S. passport, he is exempt from the mandate.

‘I made it on the train. We’re heading to Warsaw (hopefully). Train to Lviv was not an option,’ the choreographer penned. ‘The situation at the train station is insane. AT first it feels manageable, but it get A LOT worse when it comes time to actually board the train.’

‘Long story but all I can say now is that I’m a big man with nothing but a backpack it’s TRAUMATIZING,’ he continued. ‘Currently I’m in a cabin with 4 adults and 7 kids (ages 2-11) which is usually only occupied by maximum of 3 people.’

Maksim revealed that the train car that he was traveling on was outfitted for roughly 30 riders but refugees were told they needed to fit 135 people inside.

‘Walkways are packed. People everywhere. It’s sweaty and claustrophobic,’ he said. Photos from a train station in illustrate the reality star’s situation. Thousands of people were seen bundled up in freezing temperatures standing practically on top of one another as they attempted to get a train out of the country.

Refugees: Chmerkovskiy, who has been in Kyiv working as a judge on the Ukrainian version of World of Dance, had planned on staying in his native land when the fighting first broke out, however, after he got a ‘reality check’ by being arrested he decided to flee

One of the lucky ones: Ukraine announced last week that men of fighting age – between 18-60 – were prohibited from leaving Ukraine but since Maks holds a U.S. passport, he is exempt from the mandate

Fighting-aged men are prohibited from leaving Ukraine under a new mandate so the trains are filled primarily with women and children.

Back in the 1990s, Maksim and his family emigrated to the United States and thus he holds a U.S. passport, allowing him the rare opportunity to flee for safety.

‘What finally broke me is when I was watching an eight-ish year old boy, hysterically crying and not wanting to let go of his father,’ he wrote in a heartbreaking post on Instagram. ‘Verbatim: “if you stay I want to stay too because if they kill you I won’t be able to help”.’

His wife, Peta, shared his post on her social media feed saying she was ‘so f**king proud’ of her husband for helping out the refugee children.

Maks’ decision to finally leave Kyiv came after he was arrested while in the capital city amid the Russian military assault.

Terrifying: Thousands of people were seen bundled up in freezing temperatures standing practically on top of one another as they attempted to get a train out of the country (Pictured: Evacuation train in Kyiv)

Getting out: Thousands of Ukrainian residents waiting for hours to board trains into neighboring countries as Russian forces continue to shell cities across the country (Pictured: Lviv train station)

‘The streets are crazy,’ he said. ‘At one point I got arrested but again all good, promise. That was probably the least traumatizing moment in this whole thing as far as Ukraine is concerned, but for me, it was just a reality check.’

‘I’m going to try and make my way out. I’m going to start making my way towards the border. I have options.’ Adding: ‘Just a little nervous but I think it’s going to be alright. I know it’s going to be okay.

Maksim posted graphic videos to his stories and grid throughout Ukraine, as the star says he’s tried and stressed out after seeing innocent people being killed.

He said on Sunday: ‘I’m in a very safe place but this is nuts and I think everybody is going through a lot of emotions and i think it’s time I expose mine in a more personal manner.

‘This is a war. This is a crazy situation. It’s insane and I’m losing my final little things. This is not a cry for help. I’m a big boy. I can handle myself.. but I’m starting to not be able to just sort of keep my head.’

Support: His wife, Peta Murgatroyd, shared his post on her social media feed saying she was ‘so f**king proud’ of her husband for helping out the refugee children

‘The reality is, I just want to go home. I’m just hoping for a safe ending to it all.’

His wife Peta took to Instagram on Sunday with an emotional message in which she shared that an empathetic group of strangers had made a kind gesture to her amid the absence of Maksim.

‘Although I’m going through hell right now and I want it all to end…[there] is light that shines through the darkness,’ said Murgatroyd, who is mother to five-year-old son Shai with Chmerkovskiy, who she wed in July of 2017.

Murgatroyd, an alum of Dancing With the Stars, remains at the family’s home in California amid the uncertain time. She said that strangers baked her cookies ‘and proudly brought them to [her] door.

‘They stood there with smiles so wide. Let me repeat … strangers, whom I don’t talk to thought that they should get in their kitchen and bake me cookies,’ she said. ‘They also took it upon themselves to google if I was allergic to anything, just to make sure they weren’t hurting me.’

The latest: Maksim Chmerkovskiy revealed he was arrested while in Kyiv, Ukraine but called it the ‘least traumatizing moment in this whole thing as far as Ukraine is concerned

Chmerkovskiy has also provided frequent social media updates amid the conflict, as he said Thursday he had not attempted to leave the country due to safety concerns around the border of Poland. The professional dancer said he felt his odds for departure from the Ukraine were helped in having an American passport.

Chmerkovskiy added that the conflict had taken an emotional toll on him, as he said he ‘will never be the same’ in the wake of the invasion.

‘This is stressful and I’m getting old feelings back, like I’ve done this before,’ he said Thursday. ‘This does feel like the way it was when and why we left in the 90s. Like my old PTSD I’ve finally fixed is coming back.’

On Sunday, Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram Stories with a number of messages, urging people in the dance community in European countries to help take care of refugees if they were able to. He shared a number of links to resources to help people exit safely amid the ongoing military conflict.

Chmerkovskiy also wrote, ‘Russia needs a revolution!!! Russian people are being lied to!!! Russians! Wake up! It will take you generations to get over this and generations of people around the world will never forgive you!!!’

On Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to put nuclear weapons on enhanced alert for ‘special regime of combat duty’ amid heightened tensions with Europe and the United States following the invasion.

Putin cited aggression toward Russia from NATO as well as economic sanctions and moves shutting down Russian banking institutions using the banking system SWIFT.

The U.N. Security Council is slated to hold an emergency meeting regarding the invasion Monday.

Killing Eve’s fourth and final season is panned by critics

The fourth and final season of Killing Eve has been described as a ‘damp squib’ with critics saying the BBC show has ‘outstayed its welcome’.

Intelligence investigator Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) is once again playing a game of cat and mouse with psychopathic killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer).

As the chase continues their obsession for one another grows stronger and stronger but things come to a conclusion in this final series.

Unimpressed: The fourth and final season of Killing Eve has been described as a ‘damp squib’ with critics saying the BBC show has ‘outstayed its welcome’

The show made its much-anticipated return on Monday, with the murderous Villanelle struggling to move on from her deadly past.

Eve is back with a vengeance as she seeks to get even with the antagonistic organisation The Twelve.

After the last episode of season three left Eve on bad terms with assassin Villanelle, the season four opener picks up with Eve working in private security.

Back with a bang? The show made its much-anticipated return to screens on Monday and Eve is back with a vengeance

Formerly a British intelligence agent, Eve is seeking revenge against the assassin group.

A member of The Twelve, Helene (Camille Cottin), is a prime target.

Carolyn (Fiona Shaw), Eve’s previous boss, is still set on reaching the dangerous organisation.

The problem is, she’s been demoted to a lower-ranking status and needs Eve to take charge of the investigation – specifically hunting down the person who ordered the killing of her son Kenny (Sean Delaney).

While there have been some warmer reviews of the new series, it has been criticised for having no ‘substance’ with just ’empty dazzle’ remaining.

Honest: While there have been some warmer reviews of the new series, it has been criticised for having no ‘substance’ with just ’empty dazzle’ remaining

Ben Dowell of The Times gave the series two stars and wrote: ‘Oh, Killing Eve. Well there’s an idea… After a hugely successful first series, this was one of those rare examples of a British television series that has long outstayed its welcome.

‘Normally, TV drama verbosity — the habit of keeping a show going long after it should have been axed — is an American trait but such was the buzz around Jodie Comer’s Villanelle and her glamorous, lust-driven cat-and-mouse game with Eve that the producers made series after series that we didn’t really need.

‘Now we’re on the fourth and — thank the lord — final series it continues to tread water. With flickers of the old style and panache, yes, but it’s still going nowhere; not so much a cat-and-mouse game between Villanelle and Eve as a moggie chasing its tail in circles.’

He added that the show is ‘running out of ideas and probably really shouldn’t have happened’.

Killing Eve season four: What the critics said

‘Oh, Killing Eve. Well there’s an idea… After a hugely successful first series, this was one of those rare examples of a British television series that has long outstayed its welcome…

‘Now we’re on the fourth and — thank the lord — final series it continues to tread water. With flickers of the old style and panache, yes, but it’s still going nowhere; not so much a cat-and-mouse game between Villanelle and Eve as a moggie chasing its tail in circles… (the show is) running out of ideas and probably really shouldn’t have happened.’ – The Times critic Ben Dowell

Rating:

‘Sandra Oh remains fantastic as Eve, whose gradual journey from nerdy safety to delicious self-destruction has been the only thing about the post-Waller-Bridge years that has ever really worked.

‘Comer, on the other hand, is struggling as Villanelle, lost in the nonsensical idea of this stone-cold monster trying to find redemption.’ – The Guardian critic Jack Seale

Rating:

‘That Comer is a star is obviously beyond question. And, notwithstanding the failure of her Ridley Scott movie the Last Duel, she has better things to do than reprise Villanelle’s greatest hits.

‘For her and the rest of the cast, the imminent demise of Killing Eve is surely a mercy long overdue.’ – The Telegraph critic Ed Power

Rating:

‘The first two episodes of the series feel flatter than you’d expect of a show renowned for its wild twists and exhilarating energy.

‘As they unfold, there are flashes of its typical dark humour and inventive bouts of violence, but these are few and far between. Even Eve’s mission – which could be packed with tension – feels like it’s had the fizz taken out of it…

‘Here’s hoping that flame returns to setting things ablaze, or Killing Eve’s last season could end up as nothing more than a damp squib.’ – NME critic Rhian Daly

Rating:

‘It’s Comer and Oh’s performances that have kept us watching this far, and they remain the biggest reason to tune in, making Villanelle and Eve’s will they, won’t they dance captivating even when we’ve seen the steps before.’ – Evening Standard critic Katie Rosseinsky

Rating:

Jack Seale of The Guardian gave the series two stars, writing: ‘Sandra Oh remains fantastic as Eve, whose gradual journey from nerdy safety to delicious self-destruction has been the only thing about the post-Waller-Bridge years that has ever really worked.

‘Comer, on the other hand, is struggling as Villanelle, lost in the nonsensical idea of this stone-cold monster trying to find redemption.

‘Season four reinvents her as working in a church, lodging in the vestry and undergoing baptism as part of her latest scheme to convince Eve, for reasons unclear, that she’s no longer evil. Mild carnage ensues, but her co-opting of Christianity is, compared to Villanelle at her awesome best, cheap and easy iconoclasm.

‘The dull British setting prevents Comer from wearing any fabulous outfits, which, in a show that once unashamedly prized being beautiful on the surface, is another pleasure lost.’

Brutal: Ben Dowell of The Times gave the series two stars and wrote: ‘Oh, Killing Eve. Well there’s an idea…’

Also giving this series two stars, The Telegraph’s Ed Power wrote: ‘Killing Eve at its peak was a dizzying victory for style over substance. Now the substance is gone and all remains is empty dazzle.

‘The blaring retro soundtrack overstays its welcome. Even the hyper-stylised fonts with which the latest exotic location is introduced have started to feel hammy.

‘That Comer is a star is obviously beyond question. And, notwithstanding the failure of her Ridley Scott movie the Last Duel, she has better things to do than reprise Villanelle’s greatest hits.

‘For her and the rest of the cast, the imminent demise of Killing Eve is surely a mercy long overdue.’

NME’s Rhian Daly gave series four of Killing Eve three stars, writing: ‘The first two episodes of the series feel flatter than you’d expect of a show renowned for its wild twists and exhilarating energy.

‘As they unfold, there are flashes of its typical dark humour and inventive bouts of violence, but these are few and far between. Even Eve’s mission – which could be packed with tension – feels like it’s had the fizz taken out of it.’

Rhian said the secondary character’s storylines don’t bring much of the excitement of the first seasons to this series.

She added: ‘There are big hints that things won’t stay quiet for the rest of the season. On Villanelle’s path to redemption, she becomes desperate to hear from Jesus himself and, when she finally does, the form he takes suggests her old ego is still burning brightly.

‘Here’s hoping that flame returns to setting things ablaze, or Killing Eve’s last season could end up as nothing more than a damp squib.’

Two stars: The Telegraph ‘s Ed Power wrote: ‘Killing Eve at its peak was a dizzying victory for style over substance. Now the substance is gone and all remains is empty dazzle’

Giving the series a warmer four stars, Katie Rosseinsky of the Evening Standard wrote: ‘It’s now tradition that a new series of Killing Eve means the baton is handed over to a new female showrunner; this time it is Laura Neal, who has previously worked on Sex Education and Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

‘After a slightly baggy and ponderous third season, Neal – who wrote some of its stronger, later episodes – seems to have re-captured much of the spark of the early series, with sharp dialogue and a knack for placing the show’s characters in comically incongruous situations: we see Villanelle in a broken down coach outside Hemel Hempstead, and Hélène joining a crowd of tourists at the Tower of London.

‘She’s adept at fusing the banal and the horrific too, as evidenced by one watch-through-your-fingers scene involving a ceramic hob in the second episode.

‘Still, it’s Comer and Oh’s performances that have kept us watching this far, and they remain the biggest reason to tune in, making Villanelle and Eve’s will they, won’t they dance captivating even when we’ve seen the steps before.’

Series four of Killing Eve is available on BBC iPlayer now and will air on BBC One Saturday, March 5 at 9.15pm

US viewers can can watch the show every Monday on BBC America or AMC at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST. It can also be streamed online on AMC+

CHRISTOPHER STEVENS reviews last night’s TV: Blatant blasphemy of villainous Villanelle is positively criminal

Killing Eve

Rating:

The spectacular hypocrisy of the Beeb defies belief.

Every night the schedules are crammed with shows falling over themselves to be more diverse, more inclusive and more multicultural.

Classic comedies are censored for a single offensive word or joke out of place.

History is repainted. The only exception is Christianity . . . which, though it’s still the most widespread religion in the world, is regarded as a safe target.

The fourth and final season of Killing Eve, which launched on BBC iPlayer yesterday, builds to a blasphemy that is as tawdry and crass as it is pointless.

Though this episode aired on Sunday in the U.S. (where cable viewers saw the second instalment, too), it doesn’t screen on BBC1 until Saturday, March 5, at 9.15pm — the Beeb’s streaming platform is the best way to see it for now.

Jodie Comer’s assassin, Villanelle, has been born again.

Jodie Comer’s assassin, Villanelle, pictured, has been born again in the latest series of Killing Eve

She wants to stop murdering people, in the hope that former spy Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) will finally fall in love with her.

‘Nelle’ is living with a vicar and his daughter.

When Eve fails to show up at the Victorian chapel for Nelle’s baptism service, she gets stroppy and harangues Christ on the cross, demanding a sign.

The sign arrives that night. Jesus turns up in drag on the living-room sofa, eating popcorn, wearing a paper halo and a pair of gold lamé boots with stiletto heels.

Comer herself plays Jesus, with a patchy beard — it’s J.C. as J.C.

‘I lead you to salvation,’ she announces in her Russian accent, while Jesus by The Velvet Underground reverberates on the soundtrack, in case we’re not sure who this character is meant to be.

Christian imagery is sent up all the way through the episode, but until this point it is more playful: in one scene Villanelle appears to have angel wings, in another her former boss Konstantin (Kim Bodnia) suffers a wound from a bullet in the hand rather like Christ in the Crucifixion.

The depiction of Jesus as a drag queen is far more deliberately offensive.

Ask yourself if the BBC would be stupid enough to insult any other religion so flagrantly and scabrously.

The answer is obvious.
