Nicole Eggert said she hasn't been contacted about taking part in the Baywatch reboot, but is open to the idea just days after announcing the comeback of the hugely popular beach drama.
The 52-year-old actress, who has been documenting her battle with a “very rare form of breast cancer” on social media, spoke about the possibility of returning to the series.
She told TMZ on Wednesday that she was in contact with Baywatch's production company Freemantle about a documentary about the series she's working on.
Nicole explained: “We have the Baywatch documentary that's ready to be released and you know the timing of that is really working out. “But I haven't spoken to anyone about being in it as talent or anything like that.”
The blonde bombshell starred in the series as lifeguard Summer Quinn in 44 episodes from 1992 to 1994 and could have a potential role under certain conditions.

She said: “To be part of a reboot, I guess it really depends on what that would look like.”
“I mean, am I going to wear the red swimsuit?” Of course not. Not these days. But if it was a parent or a head lifeguard in the office or something, sure. Or a fun little cameo or something like that.”
Last month Nicole revealed more cancer was discovered in her lymph nodes while she battled a “very rare” form of breast cancer.
The actress, who first announced in December 2023 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, told Inside Edition that she had just learned that doctors had discovered additional illnesses during her treatment.
Eggert said she frets about not checking her breasts regularly and that the tissue from the breast implants she got when she was 19 made it harder to detect abnormalities in her breast.
The star said that after gaining about 25 pounds and experiencing pain in her left breast beginning in October, she underwent a mammogram and three biopsies — which led to a diagnosis of Stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer.
She said: “When I felt it, my heart sank and I thought, 'Oh my God.'” No one could take me, so I walked to each breast center. It's terrible because with every day and every minute that passes you know that it's growing.
Just a month later, a mammogram finally confirmed her fears – Eggert had stage two breast cancer.

She said, “My heart sank, I lost all hearing, everything sank.” It's called invasive cribriform carcinoma. It's very rare.'
“The self-examinations, I tell you, are thwarting my own plans. 'That's the only thing I should have done.'
However, she says the tissue of her breast implants made self-exams difficult, saying: “If I hadn't had them and had my smaller, natural breasts, I'm sure I would have felt it a lot sooner” – before she branded the implanted a “big mistake”.
Nicole says she has been in contact with most of the cast while working on the upcoming documentary.
Another former cast member that TMZ has also spoken to about a possible return is Brande Roderick, who, like Nicole, has not been approached about returning but is open to the possibility.
The 49-year-old actress said she is in contact with executive producer Michael Berk and is willing to play a character's mother.
Brande portrayed Leigh Dyer in 22 episodes from 2000 to 2001 and is happy that the franchise is coming back and that it's great that younger generations are interested in 1990s culture.
It was announced earlier this week that Baywatch would be returning, but there has been no sign that series stars Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff will be returning.

According to Variety, Fox landed a reboot of the hugely popular series on Monday as the network inked a deal with Freemantle.
The series originally starred Hasselhoff, now 71, from 1989 to 1999 before being renamed Baywatch Hawaii with Jason Momoa from 1999 to 2001.
He also starred in the spin-off series Baywatch Nights, which aired from 1995 to 1997.
Actress Anderson, 56, who shared love advice last week, led the red swimsuit brigade, which included actresses such as Eggert, Roderick, Yasmine Bleeth, Alexandra Paul, Parker Stevenson and Erika Eleniak.

It remains unclear whether Anderson, Hasselhoff or any of the series regulars will return to the franchise in any capacity.
The original series was set on a Los Angeles beach, where a team of lifeguards led by Lieutenant Mitch Buchannon (Hasselhoff) save lives, deal with personal dramas, fight crime and take part in over-the-top adventures on a daily basis.
It was designed by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Gregory J. Bonann and was inspired by Bonann's time as a lifeguard in LA County.
The four will serve as executive producers of the upcoming hour-long drama.
The original series was pitched by Bonann and passed on to CBS, and later the pilot Baywatch: Panic At The Malibu Pier was sold to NBC and aired as a TV movie and was so successful that it was picked up for a 12-episode season.
According to Variety, Fox and Freemantle's Lara Olsen has been tapped as showrunner for the new series.
The synopsis for the remastered Baywatch reads: “Daring ocean rescues, pristine beaches and iconic red swimsuits are back, along with a whole new generation of Baywatch lifeguards as they navigate complicated, chaotic personal lives in this action-packed reboot that proves it so is the family you are born into and the family you find.'
The original series was a worldwide phenomenon, airing simultaneously in more than 145 countries, more than any other television show.

Just recently, the franchise was rebooted in a different way, as a feature film was released in 2017.
The film – starring Dwayne “The Rock Johnson”, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Zach Efron and Kelly Rohrbach – was a box office success, grossing $178 million worldwide.
The film also featured guest appearances by Hasselhoff and Anderson.
