Ewen MacIntosh, actor best known for playing Keith Bishop in the British series “The Office,” has died at the age of 50. The information was confirmed this Wednesday (21) by the actor's agency.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved comedic genius, Ewen MacIntosh,” the press release said.

“His family would like to thank everyone who supported him, especially Willow Green Care Home. There will be a private cremation for family and close friends soon and a memorial service later in the year.”

Ricky Gervais, comedian and cocreator of “The Office,” mourned MacIntosh’s death.

“Extremely sad news. The very funny and lovable Ewen Macintosh, known to many as 'Big Keith' from The Office, has passed away. An absolute original. Rest in peace,” he wrote on Twitter.

One of the British series' most famous Big Keith scenes took place in the second season.

During his performance review, manager David Brent, played by Ricky Gervais, has him list his strengths and weaknesses.

Keith is chewing gum and looks bored. He replies “I don’t know” to all the answers and says that eczema is both his strength and his weakness.

In 2022, MacIntosh even appeared in the series After Life: You Have to Swallow Me with Gervais.
