GAZA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) — Nasser Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis reported a complete power outage today, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Photos circulating on social networks show the hospital in complete darkness.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza said in a statement that Israeli forces had deliberately disabled the hospital through attacks and blockades and prevented the deployment of its ambulances.
The Israeli army continued its military operations in Khan Younis today, leaving at least 28 people dead, official Palestinian television reported.
The report added that the Israeli army attacked a house in Deir el-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip this evening, killing at least six people.
In recent days, Khan Younis has seen Israeli attacks against him intensify, the worst since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began last October.
