João Guilherme Silva, son of Faustão, took over the program that belonged to his father after he left the band in May. The heir attended Faustão na Band along with Fausto Silva and was nervous about having to share the space with the veteran. With the attraction owner gone, he is relieved to have fewer fees. “I was more relaxed,” he admitted.
Silva moderated the program with Anne Lottermann, who also participated in Faustão na Band. After his father stepped down to “rest and enjoy the family,” he felt more freedom to helm the primetime show.
“Was there a difference when you first performed with your father and then without your father? From the moment he left and you moved on?” host Boo Uzueta asked of the Pod Delas podcast on Friday (14).
“After that I was calmer [da saída de Faustão]. I relaxed! Because with him there… I’m someone who admires him a lot, a huge fan, and I don’t think I’d ever want to make a mistake in front of him. There’s a son thing like, ‘I want to make my dad proud,'” the heir revealed.
“From the moment he was gone, I was like, ‘I have to take this space, so let’s go!’ “Being with him for a year and a half was very good for my career. That puts you in such a situation that you have to overcome it,” stressed Faustão’s son.
Why did Faustão leave the band?
Fausto Silva announced in May that he was leaving Faustão in the band. The decision was made by mutual agreement between the moderator and the broadcaster. In an exclusive interview with TV newshe revealed he wants to rest after feeling exhausted from the daily TV show:
I’ll stop for a while. The daily routine is exhausting. [A Band] I gave a sprint and managed to get an average of 3.5 points in a complicated time.
“It’s time for me to rest, take a break, most of all enjoy my friends and family. It was very quick. This business from [programa] “Every day, every day, even if it’s only recorded three times a week, you’re actually there all week,” said Faustão.
With his departure, Glenda Kozlowski and Zeca Camargo will take over a program that combines journalism and entertainment from August. The new attraction will be called “Melhor da Noite” and will deal with topics such as cooking, sports and health and will have humor boards.
