Disgraced former Spanish football president Luis Rubiales has lost his appeal against the three-year ban on all football-related activities imposed on him by FIFA.
A statement from FIFA said: “Among other considerations, the Appeal Committee was satisfied that Mr Rubiales behaved during and after the final of the FIFA Women's World Cup in a manner inconsistent with the provisions of Article 13 of FIFA The principles enshrined in the disciplinary law stand.”
Article 13 of the Disciplinary Code refers to violations of the principles of fair play and offensive behavior.
Rubiales kissed soccer player Jenni Hermoso on the lips without consent after Spain won the Women's World Cup final against England in August.
Hermoso filed a lawsuit after speaking out about the kiss being non-consensual, sparking global outrage over the treatment of women in sports.

FIFA had initially banned Rubiales for 90 days, but has now extended the ban to three years.
A FIFA statement released on Monday said: “The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has banned Rubiales, former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), from all football-related activities at national and international level for three years after finding that he acted.” Violation of Article 13 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
After Spain's 1-0 victory over England in the World Cup final, Rubiales grabbed Hermoso by the face and kissed her on the lips.
Hermoso was quick to point out that the incident was non-consensual, leading to several Spanish players signing a statement saying they would refuse to play for the national team until Rubiales is removed.
While the former president claimed the opposite to Hermoso, he refused to resign until he finally resigned on September 10.
The incident completely overshadowed Spain's World Cup victory and sparked a global discussion about sexism in women's sports at the highest levels.

Rubiales, 46, remains under criminal investigation in Spain and denies any wrongdoing.
Last month, a court issued a temporary restraining order banning Rubiales from coming within 200 meters of Hermoso or contacting her.
Rubiales was also seen carrying Spanish player Athenea del Castillo over his shoulder in celebrations after the World Cup victory and was seen by cameras grabbing his crotch to celebrate the win.
Queen Letizia of Spain and 16-year-old Princess Sofía stood nearby.
