Late in the afternoon, a fire broke out in an apartment building on Avenue Royale in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, in which no one was injured, according to the preliminary report.

Around 5 p.m., 911 was called to report smoke coming from the roof of the house at 9045 Avenue Royale, near Rue Paré. Beaupré firefighters who were called to the scene also noted the presence of flames inside the two-story building.
The engineers from the Château-Richer barracks came as reinforcements. The Sûreté du Québec was also called to the scene because the road had to be closed to traffic so that the teams could do their work.
Hydro-Quebec cut the power in that area. At the peak of the outage, 3,548 subscribers were without power. According to the latest information, only three residents were affected, and the situation should recover quickly by early evening.
