The Washington Commanders and New York Giants trade points in the first half at MetLife Stadium and go into halftime tied 13-13, 13-13. The Giants were able to bounce back from an early 10-0 deficit.
Daniel Jones recovered well after fumbling on the Giants’ first drive. Jones is 10 of 11 for 97 yards and has also rushed for 56 yards on eight tries. Saquon Barkley has a touchdown and 60 yards rushing. New York appears to be riding Barkley today as he also has three receptions and 14 total touches in the first half.
Taylor Heinicke continues his strong connection with Terry McLaurin as the Commanders star wideout has four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown.
This is a crucial stretch for both NFC East teams as they push for a postseason spot. This will be the first of two matchups in three weeks as they will meet again in week 15.
Momentum is on the Commanders’ side as they have won six of their last seven games since the season started 1-4. The Giants, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four games after starting the season 6-1.
