The artist was considered an acting giant and won numerous awards over the course of his career, the famous peaked in 1960 and established himself as a renowned actor on the world stage, appearing in highly visible productions in the following decades.

The currently 91yearold famous actor of the cinema screens fought cancer but did not fight it and died last Friday, June 17th. With numerous films under his belt, the veteran played as long as he could and one of his biggest hits was the 2013 film “Amor”, which was a smash hit with a dramatic story.

Over the course of his life, the actor added more than 150 works of fiction, and the 2020 film The Best Years of a Life is one of his last works on the big screen. The project also ended Jean’s partnership with the director Claude Lelouch and the actress Anuk Aimeewith whom he had already worked on other projects.
