They are 13 and 11 years old and will play the leading roles Guy! Guy! Guy! Originally from the Trois-Rivières region, Jules Sévigny and Loïc Rousselle couldn’t be happier this summer to combine their two passions: hockey and theatre.

Due to their age difference – Jules will be entering Secondary School in the fall, while Loïc will start his sixth year – the two boys only knew each other ‘by sight’ before they were cast in the Cirque show. But today they are best friends.
“Well yes! We spend all our time together,” says Jules. We also know each other very well now.”
When they heard that Cirque du Soleil was holding public auditions to find young people for their new Guy Lafleur show, Jules and Loïc didn’t hesitate for a second to try their luck.
“I really recognized myself in this character,” says Jules. My two passions are hockey and the stage. I’ve been playing hockey since I was two years old. My family, we are really excited about this. In the theater I have more experience in improvising. I also did humor at Secondaire en spectacle where I won the local and regional finals.
Loïc, for his part, beams, mentioning that he loves Cirque du Soleil.
“It’s my passion. “I watch a lot of shows,” says the one who has watched ECHO and KOOZA. In the future I really want to have a career in the circus. I’ve already spent a week in a circus school and I really enjoyed it.
Guy Lafleur through her eyes
By Guy! Guy! Guy!, the two boys represent the next generation of ice hockey. With no actor impersonating Guy Lafleur on stage, the audience instead discovers the blond demon through the eyes of the two young people. You will be in almost every scene of the show. And every night they switch roles to play the main character.
But did they know Guy Lafleur at their age? “Not personally,” replies Loïc. But I’ve already met him and he gave me an autograph. I had gone to his sweater removal [avec les Remparts de Québec, au Centre Vidéotron, en octobre 2021]. He seemed very nice and I know he was a good person on and off the ice. And that for many people it was a legend.
When asked who their favorite hockey player is at the moment, the two spontaneously answer: “Connor Bedard!”, the young sensation who was just drafted in the National Hockey League for the first time.
“I also like Cole Caufield,” adds Jules. “Trevor Zegras too, I love him!” to add Loïc.
