Defenseman Marc-Édouard Vlasic has had to chew his teeth a lot since the start of the season with the San Jose Sharks, but let's just say he's taking advantage of the opportunities that have come his way in the last few weeks.
In fact, the Quebecer scored his fourth goal in his last eight games on Tuesday in the Sharks' 2-0 win over the Seattle Kraken. This makes him his team's second best goalscorer in defense with four successes in 28 games played.

At this rate, Vlasic would equal his record of 11 goals scored in a full 82-game season (2017-18).
“I was opportunistic,” Vlasic said after the game against the Kraken, whose comments were published on the National Hockey League website. I took advantage of the opportunities I had and I feel good. I skate, I create, I compete and good things happen.”
Vlasic has played all of his team's games since January 11th. Before that date, he had only participated in 19 of the California team's 41 appearances.
The Montreal native has two years remaining on his eight-year, $56 million contract signed in July 2017.
