“We will go in, if only to enjoy a song,” said Lucas, who had stood in line for more than two hours to brave the storm in São Paulo on the second day of rehearsals at the Bloco Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta Raincoat and a can of beer in his hand.

The boy who is enthusiastic about the block told the Earth that there is no way he will get out of the queue and that even if he doesn't manage to attend the event, what matters to him is the friendships he made during the fight.

Rehearsal began this Sunday, the 21st, at 2 p.m. “The best thing about coming here is the queue. Today alone I met five people and this is Carnival in Brazil!” said Lucas.

Terra followed the second day of rehearsals in the Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta block in central São Paulo. The revelers were threatened with rain and hours of queuing to attend the party 🌧️

Dennis, another reveler who loves the block, said he planned to stay in line until he could get in: “Even in the rain. I have been in a relationship for many years [com o Baixo Augusta]. A wellknown, traditional block. There’s no way not to come.”

However, not everyone makes the effort to be in a good mood. “We've been here since 2 p.m., it's disgusting. “Humiliated in the rain,” complained another reveler who did not want to give his name.

Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta, the pioneer and largest carnival group in São Paulo, prepared the countdown to the 15th anniversary parade and held a rehearsal at the MST's Galpão Cultural. The last one will take place on the 28th at 2 p.m.
