Actor Robert De Niro spoke about his relationship with Gia, his 9-month-old daughter, in a moving interview broadcast by AARP, an association that helps retirees.
“I'm an 80-year-old father and it's great,” said the Oscar-winning actor. All my worries disappear when I look at her.
De Niro said the girl was “watching absolutely everything.”
“She has this really caring way of looking at you,” he whispers, confirming that the look reminds him of that of his daughter Helen, born in 2011.
“I don't know where it's going to take her in life, but she's watching and thinking a lot,” he explained. It is fascinating. I hope to be there as long as possible to watch them continue to grow.”
The Goodfellas star became a father in 2023 with his 62-year-old girlfriend, producer Tiffany Chen.
In addition to Gia, Robert De Niro is the father of six other children. Drena, the eldest of the siblings, is 51 years old.
