Jamie Lee Curtis Won’t Attend Oscars Dinner Because She Goes To Bed Early

The angel. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, nominated for Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Oscars, will skip the nominees’ traditional dinner because she goes to bed early: “Mommy goes to bed early,” she told a journalist when asked about it , reported Fox News .

Curtis received his first Oscar nomination this year for his performance in the film Everything Everywhere All at Once, and the Hollywood Academy usually hosts a pre-award dinner with all the nominees.

Over the weekend, Curtis, 64, attended the Film Independent Spirit Awards gala where she told Hollywood Reporter magazine Thursday’s Oscar nominees’ dinner was too late for her.

The daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh insisted she’s happy to get a good night’s rest, even if it means she can’t attend some of the Hollywood Academy’s convened events.

The actress remarked to the reporter, “Now you could say, ‘Jamie, you’re nominated for an Oscar. Will you only be in the room with the Oscar nominees? And I turned it down,” the American actress told the above media.

“Because? Because Mom goes to bed early,” he said of his absence. “Because 7:30pm will be 9pm before we have food, and you know what? Nothing good happens to me after 9am. Nothing. Zero! ” he added.

At the Oscars, taking place next Sunday, March 12, Curtis will compete with Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) for Best Supporting Actress; Hong Chau (The Whale); Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inishin); and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere at Once).
