Jeremy Renner starred in the trailer for his new docuseries Rennervations, which was filmed before his horrific accident on New Year’s Day in which he was crushed by a 14,000 pound snow plow in Lake, Tahoe.
The 52-year-old actor, who was recently seen for the first time since the accident, stars in the Disney+ series in which he hires his celebrity friends to repurpose vehicles that can serve communities.
The concept of the series is to find decommissioned vehicles like city buses that can be rebuilt for a new purpose like a mobile recreation center with the help of a team of experienced builders.
The four episodes will serve the cities of Chicago, Illinois, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Rajasthan, India, and last but not least, his hometown of Reno, Nevada.
In the two-minute trailer, Renner says, “I’m buying these decommissioned government vehicles to reinvent them to serve the community again, just in a different way.

Serious Situation: It was filmed before his horrific New Year’s Day accident, in which he was crushed by a 14,000-pound snow plow in Lake, Tahoe
The latest: Renner, 52, was pictured publicly for the first time since suffering multiple serious injuries in a snow plow accident on New Year’s Day near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, when he was spotted out and about in LA on Monday
“I decided to reinvent, repurpose, and renovate these vehicles and I wanted to do it for communities and help children in need around the world.”
Renner will also have the help of famous friends including his castmate Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), Anil Kapoor (Mission Impossible) and Sebastián Yatra (Encanto).
He explained, “I’ve also brought some talented and well-known friends to help me deliver them.”
One of the other concepts involved converting a truck into a “water filter” structure.
He said: “The only difference between crazy and courage is a plan.
“I hope this shows how easy it is to make a big difference in other people’s lives.”
There was also a press release where Renner explained his reasoning behind the project in a Disney press release.
He said: “I have been on this journey for many years and started building vehicles for people in need in my community. But a few years ago I thought: How can I take this even further and make a bigger impact on an entire community? And that’s what this show does.

Just a day earlier, Jeremy was pictured in public for the first time since he sustained multiple serious injuries in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
The Marvel star was the passenger in a vehicle pictured in Beverly Hills, California on a cold Southern California winter day.
He appeared to be in good spirits as he smiled as he was driven to an office building where he spent about 30 minutes before departing.
The actor wore a red shirt and glasses at the outing, marking the first time he has been seen in public since the devastating incident.
Renner has chronicled his recovery – which could potentially take years – since surviving the horrific Jan. 1 accident.
Renner said last week he was doing whatever it takes to recover in a video of him improving his leg strength with the help of a Technogym bike.
Renner focused on his left leg as he sat in the chair and pedaled away, using his hand to help guide the movements.
Renner also prioritized his “spiritual recovery” as he curled up by the fire and opened the Book of Awakening, a “spiritual journal” written by philosopher, poet, and cancer survivor Mark Nepo.
In the accident, Renner used his snow removal tractor to remove his nephew’s car from his driveway at his home near Reno, Nevada after it became stuck in the snow. However, his snowplow began sliding down a street after the car was towed, prompting the actor to jump from his cab.
After exiting the vehicle, Renner realized it could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident. The Kingstown Mayor’s star then attempted to re-enter the snowplow to deflect his path, but he was pulled under the left side lane and run over during the attempt.
Renner was crushed under the vehicle and immediately taken to the hospital with breathing difficulties and various other injuries.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office report indicated that the snowplow may have had various mechanical problems at the time of the incident.
The performer underwent multiple medical procedures while recovering in hospital and often expressed his gratitude to his medical team via his Instagram account.
Renner was eventually allowed to recover at home and shared a shot of himself undergoing physical therapy last month.
He also wrote a brief message in the caption of his post, which read in part, “I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and consideration for my family and I…. Lots of love and appreciation to you all.”
The actor added, “Those 30+ broken bones will heal and grow stronger as love and bonds with family and friends deepen. Love and blessings to you all.’
Evangeline Lilly, who starred with Renner in The Hurt Locker, recently spoke to Access and revealed the performer was in good spirits after the accident.
“I was expecting to be sitting by his bedside and holding his hand while he moaned and moaned in pain and couldn’t move. He turned around and laughed with his friends. It’s a miracle,’ she said.
The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star commented that the actor was doing well during his recovery process.
“He’s made of something really tough, this guy. You could always see that in him and he’s recovering incredibly and I’m so grateful,” she said.
Lilly noted that while Renner was not fully recovered, he was positive about his future: “He has a path ahead of him now. That’s what nightmares are made of and he lived through it and now he’s on the other side.”
