Walk in: Kelsea Ballerini has invited fans to her newly decorated farmhouse. The 29-year-old purchased the five-bedroom home on a half-acre for herself and her dog, Dibs, in November 2020.
The HeartFirst singer said the process of starting from scratch was “scary,” so she hired interior designer Lindsey Rhodes, who had been working on some of her friends’ homes, to help.
“I’m a maximalist and I love wallpaper,” explained the Miss Me More artist.
She decided to add various floral and geometric patterns to the walls and even the ceiling.
The Office: In her office, Kelsea installed romantic rose-pattern wallpaper in dark blue and pink to create a base, and added an oversized green velvet chair and sheepskin rug on the light-grained hardwood floors
The Love Song to the Earth singer featured a romantic navy and pink rose pattern from House of Hackney in her office to create a base, and the artist added an oversized green velvet chair, a cushioned windowsill, and a fluffy sheepskin rug to the light grained hardwood floors.
The wall decorations are eclectic and include a miniature doll in a green dress, trophies, pictures and books.
The Grammy nominee showed off her own sense of style on the shoot, wearing a bright pink halterneck, matching trousers and a pair of floral heels.
Soothing: For the dining room, Billboard Women In Music Rising Star chose a geometric pattern in soothing shades of brown, beige and white. The banquettes include white throw pillows and accent pillows
Home Tour: The home tour is included in the first digital edition of The Spruce
“It’s become such a safe, creative space for me,” the artist explained.
“I come here in the morning with a cup of coffee and just sit down with my guitar and play a little bit. Or I’ll open up a blank Word doc and see if I have something that feels inspiring.’
For the dining room, Billboard Women In Music Rising Star chose a geometric pattern in soothing shades of brown, beige and white.
The room has a custom made table that can be split in half if she wants to invite friends over for games or dinner.
The banquette bordering the room has white cushions accented with peachy, nectarine, and cream colored cushions.
Wallpaper: Kelsea declared, “I’m a maximalist and I love wallpaper,” so she covered the tea room with a Gucci floral print on the walls and ceiling. A mid-century curved sofa in emerald green takes center stage
“I think your home should reflect you. I love having a space where people feel like they don’t have to take their shoes off, but they can if they want to.”
Dubbed The Tearoom by the Feel Your Way Through author, the room features a Gucci floral print on the walls and ceiling. The floor is covered with a complementary green and white diamond patterned carpet.
The space is light and airy with sheer white curtains, a white wicker chair in one corner, and a white accent table.
Eclectic: The house is furnished in an eclectic mix of modern and traditional, including album covers including Kelsea’s latest Subject to Change, due out September 23
A curved mid-century emerald green sofa stands out as the focal point of the room, where Kelsea said she and her Labradoodle love to get comfortable.
The Peter Pan artist is currently separated from her husband, country singer Morgan Evans. The couple married in 2017.
Kelsea’s next album, Subject to Change, will take her away from her home sweet home. The CD is scheduled to debut on September 23 and she is slated to tour the next day in support of the new release on a 10 date tour.
