Russia will not stop the offensive in Ukraine during the negotiations. That’s what the Russian foreign minister said today. According to Sergei Lavrov, the goal of the invasion is to end “the dominance” of the United States and other western countries.
“During the first round of talks, President Vladimir Putin ordered a suspension of military action. Since the Ukrainians did not stop, it was decided that there will be no break in the next rounds of talks until a final agreement is signed.” Lavrov confirmed this.
New Russian attacks
Faced with this situation, they announced from Kyiv that the next few days will be tense, mainly in the Donbass region. In this regard, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged citizens to focus on “even larger operations in the East” after the seizure of the port of Mariupol.
In the port city, Mayor Vadim Boichenko has admitted that at least 10,000 civilians have died since the invasion began: “The streets are a carpet of deaths,” he lamented.
Deprive “traitors” of citizenship
The Chairman of the Russian State Duma proposed today Deprive “traitors” of citizenship who oppose the offensive in Ukraine. “The vast majority of our fellow citizens support the special military operation in Ukraine, they understand its need for the security of our country and our nation. But there are also those who act cowardly, like traitors. Unfortunately, there is no procedure for depriving these citizens of the Russian Federation of their citizenship and banning them from entering our country. But maybe it would be good,” said the Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin.
Meanwhile, the European Union continues to draft new sanctions packages against Russia: “The Ukrainians fear a huge offensive in the Donbass region. They are preparing and we are helping them, that’s no secret,” stressed Josep Borrell.
