Manaphy and Phione are available in Pokémon Legends: Arceus! Follow the guide to catch Pokemon available in the Moonplate side mission.
You don’t need to capture Manaphy and Phione to encounter Arceus. If possible, disable autosave in the game options to avoid missing the Pokémon.
Obtain the Legend of the Seas side mission.
To get the Legend of the Seas mission you must:
- You must reach Rank 5 as a member of the Galaxy Group.
- Accept side mission “66: Legend of the Seas” on Professor Lavender’s mission board in the Galaxie Group HQ in Rusti-Cité. You exchange ideas with Professor Lavender immediately afterwards, the NPC will tell you about the mission and give you some hints.
Unlock the cave to meet Manaphy and Phione
The Legend of the Seas book is a reference to a book that you can find in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Pokémon Sparkling Pearl in the Joliberges library.
In the book it is written:
A long, long time ago, a Pokémon named Prince lived in the Baltic Sea. One day, a brave human who wanted to meet this prince sought help from the sea-type Pokémon that inhabits this sea.
A babimanta, a mustébuée and a large-spiky qwilfish, recognizing the courage of the brave man, agreed to accompany him on his quest. Our four heroes then drove into the sea at sunset and entered a cave whose entrance formed an arch rising above the waves.
After hearing the news, the prince joined our heroes at the Creux du Cap.
The Legend of the Seas
As I’m sure you understood, you have to find a Babimanta, a Mustébouée and a Qwilpik to add them to your team.

Now head to the Lazuli Coast. If it is not evening, go to the bivouac to sleep until evening.
At the level of the sand hand, more specifically the middle finger, you will see two horns or fingers sticking out of the water. Take your mount and go to the center.
When the conditions are met, you will hear Manaphy scream and the cave will be accessible. Go to the cave.
Attention ! Go back to the bivouac, switch your team with Pokemon high enough to face the 4 Pokemon, 3 x level 35 Phione and 1 x level 50 Manaphy.
Capture Monaphy and Phione
- When you enter the cave you will face 3 Phions and 1 Manaphy that will not hesitate to attack you!
- To remove the shield protecting them, throw a Poké Ball at a Pokémon, then throw a Pokémon at your target Pokémon. Try to face them one by one to capture them.
- If you take on all of them at once, you risk getting knocked out before you can catch them. Capturing a single Phion is enough for your Pokédex, so you can also choose to get rid of the other 2 to capture the last one.
- Don’t forget to return to Professor Lavender to complete the mission and collect your reward.
