With the help of the host, Kevin Bazinet surprised Marc Dupré, who was asked to relive Blind Auditions to see if he would turn around again. In fact, Kevin Bazinet was there with his guitar and, like in 2015, covered the song Latch by Disclosure.

Marc Dupré couldn't hold back his tears. “It really touched me when I heard the first notes. This hearing changed my life in some ways, yours and mine too. [Kevin], it's like my mirror. Vocally, I always wanted to have a consistent, soulful voice. That was my ideal, so there was no way we wouldn't win this together. I saw a star in front of me. We had an excellent relationship and did shows together,” said Marc.

Despite his fear, Kevin Bazinet did everything

Kevin Bazinet's anxiety issues were discussed. “Fear has really hurt me in my life in general. Looking back, I’m really glad that didn’t stop me because it really changed my life,” he said in an interview.

Kevin Bazinet believes he “wasn’t at his best” during his blind audition. “It was a difficult moment because I was putting pressure on myself about where I was in my career and in my life. If the judges hadn’t turned around, I would have taken it hard.”

René Angélil had “extreme trust” in coach Marc Dupré

For his part, Marc Dupré, now humorously reorienting himself after years of singing, reminds Charles Lafortune that he was “terrorized” the first time he sat in his red armchair next to Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marie-Mai and Ariane Moffatt. It was his then father-in-law René Angélil, Céline Dion's husband, who encouraged him to become a trainer. He said he had “extreme trust” in his son-in-law.

The reunion of Kevin Bazinet and Marc Dupré ended when the latter took up the piece “À quoi tu goales”, which the trainer had composed especially for his foal for the grand finale of the third season.

The 90 minutes of the special program “La Voix 10 ans” were accompanied by lots of music, excerpts from the various seasons and interviews, especially with Ludovick Bourgeois, Louis-Jean Cormier and Matt Lang. You can watch it all again on VAT+.
