Logan Mailloux was the lone scorer in the shootout and the Laval Rocket triumphed over the Hershey Bears 3-2 at Place Bell on Wednesday night.
The 20-year-old defender was the third and final shooter of the crowd favorite. In front of his net, Jakub Dobes frustrated Hendrix Lapierre, Matt Strome and Joe Snively in quick succession in this final phase of the game.
The Rocket goalkeeper had previously blocked 24 pucks.

Philippe Maillet and Jared Davidson scored for the Rocket in the first third.
The Bears' goals were the work of Ivan Miroshnichenko and Bogdan Trineyev in the second and third periods, respectively.
Thanks to this win, the Montreal Canadiens farm club ended its very short losing streak in the American League. Head coach Jean-François Houle's men suffered setbacks in their last two games.
The Rocket will return to action on Friday when the Toronto Marlies visit Laval. This is the first of two games between the two teams, also meeting at Place Bell on Saturday afternoon.
