Longueuil: A 26-year-old man is fighting for his life

A 26-year-old man is between life and death after being mown down by a vehicle while reversing in Longueuil on Monday.

The victim was struck around 4 a.m. while reversing in the parking lot of a billiard room on Boulevard Cousineau in the Saint-Hubert sector.

Authorities fear for his life after he was taken to hospital, a spokeswoman for the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department (SPAL) said.

The driver of the vehicle is in custody and is charged with negligent bodily harm and dangerous driving.

SPAL states that investigations into the exact circumstances of this accident are still ongoing.
