A 22yearold man was accused on Friday of murdering and beheading his exgirlfriend, who was eight months pregnant, in the United States city of Alton. Deundrea Holloway will answer for the death of his wife Liese Dodd, also 22, and their unborn child.
Liese was found dead on June 9 after her mother called the police for help as she had not heard from her for some time. Agents located the victim in front of his home. Liese’s head was in the dumpster in front of the building.
“They informed us that someone was found dead next door,” neighbor April Wooten told ABC Television. “If you have to lose a child like that, that baby is an extension of the mother and the rest of the family. They also lost a child, lost two,” he added.
The victim and Holloway have had an intermittent relationship for the past two years, local officials said. Before her disappearance, Liese had prepared a baby shower with her family.
Alton Police Chief Marcos Pulido called the crime “more than reprehensible.”
“She was brutally and cruelly killed,” Pulido said. “What was observed, what was learned was absolutely horrible,” the officer concluded.
