Meghan Markle broke her cover to check out the local farmers’ market on Friday, days after her explosive Netflix documentary starring Prince Harry failed to earn an Emmy nomination.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen at the Montecito Farmer’s Market near the couple’s $14.7million mansion but left without her husband, exclusive photos from show.
Instead, the 41-year-old was accompanied by her security guard and one of her beloved beagles, even though dogs were banned from the market.
Wearing a white collared unbuttoned shirt over a camel maxi dress, black flip-flops and sunglasses, the former actress went virtually undetected by locals as she went from tent to tent browsing various merchandise collections.

The weekly market, which is located at blocks 1100 and 1200 of Coast Village Road, has a ‘DOGS NOT ALLOWED’ sign outside
Though Meghan largely managed to stay under the radar during her trip to the market, she was friendly, smiling politely at the few locals who recognized her – while her security guards kept a watchful eye.
The tall bodyguard kept a safe distance from the Duchess and watched over her pooch while he browsed the market.
The couple own two beagles, Guy, whom Meghan adopted in 2015 while she was still an actress, and Mamma Mia, who they rescued from an animal research center last summer.
They also have a Labrador named Pula.
But the former king wasn’t the only notable face to visit the farmers’ market in the star-studded seaside town.

Keith Hudson, the Santa Barbara-raised pastor and father of Katy Perry, was also spotted among the crowds shopping.
According to the website, the farmer’s market is held weekly in the community and is held alternately on four stretches of the 1100 and 1200 blocks of Coast Village Road in Montecito’s main retail district.
The affluent seaside town has become increasingly popular with Hollywood stars over the years for its idyllic scenery and secluded homes, ideal for lovers of privacy.
Meghan’s appearance comes after Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan, despite its successful debut in December, was rejected by Emmy voters when the nominations were announced earlier this week.
However, the show did manage to garner a Hollywood Critics Award nomination for Best Streaming Nonfiction on Wednesday.

Harry and Meghan’s massive home in Montecito was built in 2003. The property features expansive lawns, tiered rose gardens, tall Italian cypresses, flowering lavender, century-old olive trees, a tennis court, tea house, children’s house and pool (pictured).
Meghan and Harry have been spotted in their neighborhood of Montecito in recent weeks following a series of backlashes against their media empire.
The couple were spotted smiling and holding hands in Santa Barbara ahead of Independence Day weekend earlier this month, before being photographed again taking part in a local Fourth of July parade with their family.
The outing came after Buckingham Palace confirmed that the two Frogmore Cottages had been sold at the request of King Charles III. officially cleared earlier this year.
It also followed Spotify’s decision to split from the couple and forego a second season of Meghan’s 13-episode podcast Archetypes, which debuted at number one on the streaming service’s rankings.
Spotify and the Sussexes’ audio production company, Archewell Audio, released a joint statement, saying they “by mutual consent have decided to go their separate ways and are proud of the series we’ve made together.”
