Mélissa Bédard will replace Véronic DiCaire as investigator on “Masked Singers.”

Véronic DiCaire will not be back as an investigator in season 4 Masked singers. But last but not least, the team is expanding with a newcomer: the talented and dynamic Mélissa Bédard.

The singer, actress and presenter joins Anouk Meunier and Stéphane Rousseau, who, unlike Véronic DiCaire, will return to the adventure next September on TVA and TVA+.

The reasons for Véronic DiCaire's departure were not given. Next March and April she will be on tour in Belgium, France and Switzerland. She is not the first to leave the show, Marc Dupré did so after the first season without being replaced.

And Sam Breton?

As for Sam Breton, who canceled the rest of his Au pic pis à pelle tour last January, is still on sick leave due to accumulated fatigue. In solidarity, the Masked Singers team reserves their chair for him while they wait to find out what happens next.

“The whole team also hopes to see the very funny Sam Breton again, to whom we wish a speedy recovery,” we said.

As for Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, he will of course be back in animation.

Currently, the creative team of Canada's most popular show is already working on putting together the new season, which will begin filming in a few months.

Remember that it was the comedian Michel Courtemanche, aka Le Caméléon, who won the third season during the grand finale broadcast on December 3rd.
